Howdy... As mentioned in the OP we have $100 set aside for the prop bet / super bowl. Here are the rules for this $100. There will be 3 prizes. 1st- $60, 2nd- $25, and 3rd $15. Here are the rules. This contest is a separate contest than the original playoff contest. The points will be determined in a different fashion than the original playoff game. Sorry if this gets confusing but it is free soooooo.. yeah.
1. Submit your game spread pick as defined in Missions post above, submit the over/under pick as defined in Missions post above, answer the ten prop questions that Mission posted. These picks must be submitted to Mission on time as stipulated in the playoff rules. The same answers that you use for the playoff game will be used for this contest.
2. On top of the above answers you must submit a final score. This can be given to me or you can add it to your picks to Mission. The answer to this question has no effect on your playoff picks. I am not looking for a total score.. I want the actual score. Something like Steelers 49 - Patriots 10 (except use the teams in the super bowl). I am sending my picks to Mission as soon as I type this so no worries about me seeing your score.
3. Scoring: Spread pick is worth 3 points, O/U is worth 3 points, each prop question is worth 2 points. The distance you are from the scores will be negative points. Each team will be done separately and the combined will be used as well. So in my 49-10 example above. If the Steelers win 55-0, I would lose 6 (55-49) points on the Steelers, 10 (0-10) points for the patriots, and 4 (59-55) points for the total. Your final score for this contest will be your total earned points - the score deduction. Highest score wins. There is no tie breaker so ties will be split. I am not paying out anything less than $10 so if there are any prizes under $10 then we will wager that money on a game of my choosing to see if we can get over $10. If you are part of a tie and and I owe you money from one of the other payouts then you will receive your portion and the others will be wagering on a game.
4. If I screwed up anything on these rules, I reserve the right to make a change.
5. If you send Mission your picks for the playoff game but do not send in a final score of the game then you are eliminated from this game.
6. Your score does not have to be inline with any of your picks. I might like 49ers and under but my final score is submitted as 49ers losing 74-10.

I know that the victory formation QB kneel-downs at game end are factored into the QBs rushing yards total , so I’d assume they also count statistically as rushing attempts.

Could be as many as 3 rushing attempts.

I almost screwed up... but almost left it in there to see what it did to the game. Original rules I had 50 to winner and 50 to worst score. With the deduction someone could have said googleplex to googleplex to get the most deductions. Would have been interesting to see who went for some crazy number and who went for the high score. But decided it might make the game stupid.

Scolist- I didnt do the math but I think we might have tied for last (unless someone comes out of nowhere) If we tied would you like to split the last place prize $50 each or leave it to the tie breaker. I can honestly say I have no idea how the tie breaker works for last and I have no idea what teams I sent to Mission on the first week. Either way is fine with me, let me know.

If this is supposed to be calculated some other way, please let me know.

3.) I don't understand why Super Bowl Picks were being included in with the last set of picks in terms of precise score, so I will try to figure that out and post whatever the results are that correspond with doing that. That will appear in a separate post.

Okay, so the last thing I have to figure out is why people were making Super Bowl Picks in the final PM as to scores, these results will be put into a separate post.

2. On top of the above answers you must submit a final score. This can be given to me or you can add it to your picks to Mission. The answer to this question has no effect on your playoff picks. I am not looking for a total score.. I want the actual score. Something like Steelers 49 - Patriots 10 (except use the teams in the super bowl). I am sending my picks to Mission as soon as I type this so no worries about me seeing your score.
3. Scoring: Spread pick is worth 3 points, O/U is worth 3 points, each prop question is worth 2 points. The distance you are from the scores will be negative points. Each team will be done separately and the combined will be used as well. So in my 49-10 example above. If the Steelers win 55-0, I would lose 6 (55-49) points on the Steelers, 10 (0-10) points for the patriots, and 4 (59-55) points for the total. Your final score for this contest will be your total earned points - the score deduction. Highest score wins. There is no tie breaker so ties will be split. I am not paying out anything less than $10 so if there are any prizes under $10 then we will wager that money on a game of my choosing to see if we can get over $10. If you are part of a tie and and I owe you money from one of the other payouts then you will receive your portion and the others will be wagering on a game.
4. If I screwed up anything on these rules, I reserve the right to make a change.
5. If you send Mission your picks for the playoff game but do not send in a final score of the game then you are eliminated from this game.
6. Your score does not have to be inline with any of your picks. I might like 49ers and under but my final score is submitted as 49ers losing 74-10.

The Rules Simplified

STEP 1:

Over/Under: 3 Points
Props: 2 Points Each

THE POINTS STUFF:

A. The winner is irrelevant.

B. Pick a score for each team.

---The number of points over or under you are, per team, will be subtracted from your score in Step 1.

STEP 3:

A. Your two teams will then have your suggested scores added together. One point will be subtracted for the number of points your combined score is off from the ACTUAL game total.

STEP 4:

Whoever has the most remaining points, even if that amount be negative, will be in the Top 3 for this prize.

NOTE

Everything is already pretty much set as far as the other stuff goes, so I can use the earlier results to determine starting points. I will have to put disqualified players back, which I will do, and will put their full results in a separate post. I will then make a post that will begin with the starting totals from Step 1. I will put each prediction that was made from STEP 1 and assign a number of points to be subtracted based on those results.

I will then subtract the number of points required from each player to get a new total, which will determine the winners.
