what are wizards default picks?

This week I believe they are:

Bears OVER
Bengals OVER
Bills OVER
Broncos OVER
Bucs OVER

(No Browns this week because I believe Bengals take precedent over the Browns.)

Congrats to Joeman. Now at least I don't have to watch Seattle/SF......

You can still watch it if you're still interested in finishing in the money. I see scenarios where you finish in 3rd place, depending upon the results of this last game.

Who beat me for second place? I figured if I won tonight I had a chance for 2nd but stopped doing the calculations once Joeman wrapped it up. You know, second place is the first loser..... (If there is a monetary prize I'll still take it!)

From what I can see, the top four could be

Joeman
miplet
JW17
SOOPOO

or

Joeman
miplet
SOOPOO
JW17

and that's just two scenarios. I haven't yet looked at all four of the remaining possible scenarios.

Doesn’t top 3 places pay ?

In this contests case I’d say 4th place is the first loser

What is the deadline to send revised picks? I thought I send the revision prior to the deadline

Good call! Sorry, 9:51a.m. EST. I’d opened it, but only saw the first when I checked earlier.

EDIT: Added in this thread, will put in the other shortly.

Good job Joeman on first place!

Everyone who played this season, which bet was most memorable? Which bet did you absolutely believed it would win 100%, only to be let down?

Boy, I guess I picked the right time to catch fire! This was a lot of fun! Many thanks to Mission for putting this whole thing on and doing all the leg work. Also thanks to EdCollins for keeping track of all the stats. That's a lot of work you both do to make this an enjoyable event. And you do it for free! It is much appreciated.

Also, thanks to the Mission, unJon, Babs, ONM, and whomever else I am forgetting, for putting up their own money for the extra prizes. Those help make the game so much fun for everyone through the entire season. And thanks to GWAE for the season-long freeroll, not to mention the playoff freeroll!

Great game again this year! Big thanks to Mission for running this game and injecting in his own funds, and for Ed for all the work he does weekly. Thanks to everyone that put up cool prizes this year! Especially to GWAE who very generously ran a really cool experiment betting the consensus picks.

I think the most hilarious thing about the way the finish happened is that my Golden Ratio prize went to fifth place so places 1-3 and 5, but not 4 got paid. And SOOPOO of course finishes fourth. ;-)

DJATC hit me up about how I can pay you the Golden Ratio prize.
The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; but that is the way to bet.

Please remind me, how do we settle up?

You can pay the winner, Joeman, directly. I've already paid him via PayPal. (I saw no reason to wait. In my opinion everyone should be settling up promptly.) You should probably message Joeman first to confirm that's how he'd like you to pay.

Ideally, if you do pay via PayPal, use the Friends & Family link so that PayPal doesn't take any fees out at his end.

Four of the players will have to be designated to pay miplet, the 2nd Place Finisher. JW17, who finished 3rd doesn't have to settle up at all, as his entry was free for finishing 3rd.

Shouldnt we designate who is going to be paying who prior to starting to actually send money. ?

Yea, probably.

Most everyone, other than a select four, will be paying the winner so there's no reason at all that some of us can't start paying him immediately. I, for one, don't like owing others money and I don't like it when others owe me money. Thus, I paid my dues already.

Final Standings

I tried to warn you guys I had this! Now I have to brace myself for the medicine Mission hands out for 'you suck' winners, he can barely contain himself I think. In case you were wondering why he does this, the joy he takes in it explains a lot.

Consolation Prizes:

The first consolation prize will be the, "You suck," consolation prize. ...
The second consolation prize will be the, "Most Average," consolation prize ...

Each of these prizes pays $75 as follows:

-I pay your $25 Entry Fee to the winner on your behalf.
-I pay you $50.

So Prozema and I will not send money.

So.

Winner of the 6.0 prize: Genwyzgy (2 weeks perfection, only player to do so). Gets the prize Johnzimbo did not select. This is because the 6.0 prize also included cash from a separate add-on contest.

Winner of the 0.6 prize: Johnzimbo. ( went a remarkable 3 0-6 weeks, no one else had more than 1). Gets his choice of either the BB-8 jacket or the Star Trek Bluetooth speaker.

Winner of the Pi in the face: none. Nobody went even 2:1. Instead, I am awarding the Schroedinger's Cats mugs to Mission146 and EdCollins (one each) as a thank you for running the game.

Each of you please send a mailing address via PM so I can mail your prizes.

Settling up.

I have leftover money from Johnzimbo and Gordonm888 from last year. So I owe $75 to someone, and theirs are paid from me. When you guys have confirmed who has paid whom til now, I will send to miplet or Joeman as needed via Paypal, (preferred) or Amazon GC (if needed).

I know Mission said he would set up a payout thread. Not to step on his toes, but if you have $75 Babs, you could send it to Miplet, then everyone else could send their entry fee to me.

If everyone is cool with that, here is a summary of the arrangements:

Joeman: 1st place -- No fee paid, +$650
Miplet: 2nd place -- No fee paid, +$75 (from Babs)
JW17: 3rd place -- No fee paid
prozema: "Mr. Average" -- Fee to be paid by Mission, +$50 (from Mission)
OG: "You suck" -- Fee to be paid by Mission, +$50 (from Mission)
Babs -- 3x Fee ($75) to be paid to miplet
Johnzimbo -- Fee paid by Babs
Gordonm888 -- Fee paid by Babs

Also, scolist and EdCollins have already paid me.

As for everyone else, I would prefer Paypal. Does that work for everyone?

Question for those who know more about such things than me: Is it safe to post my Paypal email address on a Forum thread, or is it best if I PM it to everybody?

Also, I'd appreciate it if people could please review my 'arrangements' above and let me know if there is something wrong.

Paradigm: Sent you a PM.

I have a website where I accept payments for an Excel workbook I created and not only do I post my PayPal address there, I also post my Venmo address and my CashApp address. I've never had a problem and my addresses have been posted online for years.

Now, I'm not about to suggest you post yours here, but only to give you at least a little bit of reassurance that others have posted their addresses online without incident. (And a forum like this has to be less visited than a website.)

If your PayPal password is not something someone could guess, I'd like to think you should be okay.

I won the ONM early/late enduro, but will be splitting it with Mission. ONM, please either wait for instructions from Mission, or send the prize to him for division and distribution. Thanks!

Also, thanks to everyone who pitched in side games. This was the most interesting year yet. Congratulations to all the winners!

Wow, cool I forgot about this. Will take the jacket even though I do not what BB-8 is or what size it is...but I have enough Bluetooth speakers :). Though if my brother was still alive I would take the speaker as he was a Trekkie. Will PM you and TYTY

That's me. I'm starting a payouts thread either tonight or tomorrow morning. I'll probably do all of my payouts after the Super Bowl because I plan to kick in some stuff on the Playoff game that I haven't decided yet. I might have a second game that takes place the last three weeks since the lines for this week have already been posted and picks received.

The main game is over. The playoff picks game is a new separate game. It is a freeroll with the prizes provided by Mission and GWAE. I believe it has its own thread here somewhere.

Yeah, he did, but it's still worth keeping people advised in this thread as well, since they're looking here.

I heard from miplet, and am paying him the $75 net amount he's owed, so everyone else please pay Joeman.

Ok, I sent $75 to miplet, which pays for me, johnzimbo, and Gordonm888, both of whom.had left a balance with me from last year. The other $25 is represented by miplet not paying his buy-in, so he's square for 2nd place.

Thanks, Babs. If all that is settled, then those who haven't paid yet can send their payment to me. I would prefer Paypal. My PP address is:

If Paypal isn't an option, my second choice would be an Amazon GC.

And thanks to those of you who have already settled up! I am happy to report that most folks have.
