Once we beat them in the ECF, Lebron will have had the last straw in his decision making process and join the Sixer next year to be in the City of Champions... because he needs a few more rings to be in the conversation with Jordan as the G.O.A.T. Philly is where he can make this happen.

Just passionate fans. Hey, sometimes you need to keep people in check. When your good, we applaud you. When you suck, you need to hear about it and step up. Did you happen to see the turn out of the Superbowl Parade? I would't characterize that as worst type of fans.

You must not originally be from Philly. Greatest fans in the USA , along with Boston and NY. Passionate for their teams and life long fans.
I will say this tho. If the Timberwolves get in tonight and claim the 7th or 8th seed, look out. There might be some major upsets of the Warriors or Rockets especially with the Warriors not having Curry and the twolves getting butler back and also reuniting with derrick rose. Rose will be the x factor. Will he play at his old MVP level under his former coach? We will see..

Quote: ZenKinGGotta love the hype with the 76ers. Ben simmons is gonna struggle in the playoffs when teams can gameplan amd zone in on him. Hes gonna struggle massively without a jump shot because the court is going to shrink more and more each game and he wont be able to drive into the paint as easily as he has been during the season. Until he gets a jump shot, they wont go anywhere. If he gets to the conf finals this year its more so because of the lack of talent in the conference, especially with boston not going to have kyrie for the playoffs and already losing hayward for the year.

But you said that they were absolutely only two teams that you must put all your money on for the championship at the given odds last week with houston n golden state.
Houston is a great team and great play but I would not let them for the championship at those odds at this stage. Houston and Philadelphia in championship.... as long as Embiid comes back healthy and is not affected with his mask.
Regarding Ben Simmons, you are greatly mistaken about the Philadelphia team. The entire team steps up, just like the eagles did. We have five legitimate super 3-point shooters. They can gang up on Ben all day like but he can Dish It off so well and everyone can shoot from the perimeter. This is where they have been winning... Not from him scoring.
My biggest concern would be other teams failing him often because he really can't shoot a free throw to save his life which is very disappointing

Lol Derek Rose ? He’s trash , finished. I don’t care if Red Auerbach is coaching the T-Wolves
He’s gonna get the same 12-14 minutes a game he’s been getting , he will be the same unspectacular but serviceable back up point guard he’s been lately , and they’ll get swept or at best win one home game against either Houston or GS. If Minnesota is relaying on Derek Rose for anything meaningful they’d be in even more trouble than they already are. Luckily he’s their 7th or 8th best player and his play barely matters.

Yes but if you were following my posts i also said i wont be betting on rockets or the warriors because i rather enjoy he playoffs and root on the twolves. Im hoping for an upset if the wolves get in tonight.
Regarding philly, im not talking about simmons needing to score, but his dribble penetration wont be that easy in the playoffs without a jump shot. Teams are gonna go under all the screens and sag off him tremendously and gameplan for philly. The current 15 game win streak theyre on was mostly against trash teams. Im not sold on the hype and you will see come playoff time. Even though theyve won without Embid, you will see they wont be anything special and if they do indeed get to the conf finals this year, its more so cause the East is trash. Raptors are frauds come playoff time and celtics have their 2 best players out the whole playoffs.
Even with all that that said, I actually think philly still wont get past giannis and the bucks in the 1st round or maybe even the heat. No, im not a philly hater, but i cant stand the fake hype when your best player or 2nd best player cant even hit or attempt a 15 ft jumper lol.

Lived in center city Philadelphia attending Drexel U
I remember the city being very excited about the Phillies in the playoffs
The year before, they dropped 3 straight in the playoffs
oh well
Anyway, 77 playoffs baseball National League
The Phillies manager gets introduced, Danny Ozark , and the whole stadium is booing
WTF
1st thing I thought, what a bunch of a-hole fans.
I come from Baltimore. We would never ever boo Earl Weaver

I never said philly wasnt a good team, they play hard on both sides and have built a nice nucleus with simmons, embid and saric with lots of shooters, but the win streak was mostly against subpar teams and has created lots of hype, especially when none of these ayers ever played in the playoffs and your best player or 2nd best player cant even take a jump shot and questiond should be raised.
You them get people like Stephen A smith saying theyre going to the conf finals, which may be true, but thats only because boston wont be healthy. Id take a fully healthy boston team over philly this year, but it is what it is.

That’s the point, assuming they get the 3 seed tonight, it’s an easier path to the EC Finals. But they won’t beat Cleveland or Toronto if they get there. There is a big difference in the playoffs compared to the Regular Season when guys don’t go 100% every night. You are on the right side on this one.
Edit: Up 63-27 over the Bucks, should be 3 Seed.

My biggest question is with simmons. In the playoffs, his freedom driving to the basket will be shut down if he's not able to take a jumpshot. The playoffs are played at a much slower pace and when teams start shrinking the floor on him, whats gonna happen? Embid is gonna have to ball out. I like what Philly has done tho over the years to get their team to this point and their coach has them playing on hard the defensive side as well. All those no.1 draft picks sure helped.

The reason he does this is so he can point to himself posting the winner, and sweep all the others under the rug.

Do you want to reconsider your claim that the sixers wont get past the bucks in the first round? They are up 80-44 against them at HALFTIME tonight! But of course it must just be the hype.
FYI, Ive been on the sixers all year and knew they had the team to get to where they are. Not following anyones hype.

So was it someone else who inquired about the Pacers odds to win the championship because you thought they'd beat the 76'ers in the first round series?
Of course, this was when it looked liked they'd match up in the first round.

Not at all, It was for hedging purposes. I have been acquiring sixers championship tickets throughout the season and have 1000 worth averaged in at 90-1. I inquired about the Pacers when it looked like the sixers might play them... at 300/400 -1 odds, a small hedge was a consideration.
Dont be surprised for an upset. Timbwrwolves are npt a true 8th seed. Rockets dont match up that well either vs the twolves. Butler will lock down harden. Towns will lock up capela since he can move his feet well in the pick and roll. Luc bah a moute is also out for the 1st round. Wiggins wont have anyone to guard him. He will be a free scorer.
Smart money might be on the wolves. I bet the odds are around +500 for twolves to win the series. Looks like +EV to me

No i dont. Regular season is irrelevant, especially the last game of the season where theres not much to gain for the bucks. It looked like they didnt even care to show up. You shouldnt be so sold on a team that has no playoff experience and with arguably your best player not being able to shoot a 15 ft jumper and him being your point guard. Yikes. Phillys a solid team but slow your roll.

They played head to head 3x this year. In the two games where Butler played Houston won both by 18. In the third game Houston won by 9.

Again, stick to what you do best, whatever that may be. You said you dont bet sports because you are not good at it. I tend to agree with that rationale... in addition to the fact that you are all over the place and when things dont go your way, you tend to blame everyone and everything. T-Wolves will not win the series against Houston.

Regular season is irrelevant. The bulls used to smack lebron in the regular season all the time, but come playoff time the bulls lost every single series. I dont put much weight into the regular season. The NBA is about matchups and im tellimg you right now Twolves match up well vs Houston. Twolves also arent a true 8th seed. Had butler not got hurt they would be a top 4 seed.

I dont know much of what you have predicted on this forum as Ive only read a few of your posts, and each one of them was a cry, a blame, an angry rant, or a self indulging delusional and unwarranted praise.
You hedge yourself with picks from what Ive gathered by first saying only take the Rockets or GS and put all of your money on them at very low odds. Then you say you like the t wolves in an upset. Sounds like you win either way... nice try. Take a stance and run with it. Dont complain and say there was a conspiracy if you lose.
You say money isn't everything to you.. CMon Man!! Why would you complain about people using credit in society, complain about losing , complain about living costs, state your win/loss constantly, etc... if you didnt really care about money? Rhetorical question... no need to answer.
... and wait a minute, .... wait a minute.... everything is going extremely well. Thank you for asking. Taking my gf on a trip to the islands next week .. all paid for from winnings the past month. How is your mind clearing solo walk in SoCal going?

No you're wrong. I originally said take the Warriors to win it all, but then i brought up the hedge as part of someone thread who was talking about hedging, i believe it was your thread so I gave an idea of what to do. Also I have made picks without any other scenario involved so no I dont 'win either way'. I've called the bulls over 21.5 wins and I called the warriors under 58 wins. I've also successfully called other things such as bitcoin time and time again basically on the money each and every time.
The thing about the twolves, i wont be taking credit if they upset the rockets and won't gloat about it since I'm not giving a 'definitive' pick, I'm just saying don't be surprised if there's an upset. I'll be rooting for the wolves this upcoming playoffs because of the amount of ex bulls players on that team including the coach, so it's almost like version 2 of the bulls. I like the matchup vs the rockets and cp3 and harden are basically choke artists in the playoffs. Although cp3 has had tough luck with injuries come playoff time, but let's see what happens.
Not in SoCal yet.

You also should be the last person claiming someone is delusional. Why have you dodged the question of how much you're up all time through craps? You're taking a vacation with your GF from your winnings, that's nice, how much have you made all time? Anyone can win in the short run and with selective memory claim they're a successful player.

Im not an AP, or maybe I am , but I never saw myself as one. I just know how to win. Perhaps I see things before others do. Perhaps I see things differently than others... but at the end of the day, being ahead is all that matters. I dont write down every roll or every session. I know that when I changed my game up 10 plus years ago, I started with my shoebox of 5k. Over these past 10 plus years, I have never dipped into any other funds and I have built in to well into the 6 figures , in addition to paying for countless trips, dinners, sporting events, etc, etc, etc... worth a good amount. But no, I dont write it down to answer your question. Perhaps Im delusion though, so it all doesnt matter. I havent talked about playing craps in a while on here. Just not worth it.
He was from 76ers golden era when they were champs 66-67.
with Chamberlain some call that the greatest team of all time. I doubt they could have competed with the modern players but still they were awesome.
Greer was truly great. Didn't get a lot of attention. As a guard he was overshadowed by West and Robertson.
After those two he had to be the best guard in the NBA at that time IMHO.
Great, great shooter from about 15 feet out. Shot a jumper for his foul shot.
RIP Mr. Greer. Thanks for the memories.
I searched a little more and found out they actually have erected and placed a statue of him in Philly. that's nice.
at 1:28 in the youtube video he uses up Jerry West. At 1:50 he cleans John Havlicek's clock. at 1:59 he scores over a missed attempted block by Bill Russell.
the 76ers rivalry with the Celtics in that era has to be one of the greatest sports rivalries of all time.

Philly fans are definitely the worst fans. They are disrespectful. They have no class and are mostly terrible people. Maybe the last part is too much but they are horrible fans. The flyers have been among the dirtiest teams for a long time and the organization fans celebrate it.
Just because they came for a parade doesn't make them good fans, it makes them band waggon jumpers.
Didnt they throw snow balls at Santa and throw batteries at opposing players? Terrible people

If fans threw snowball's at Santa, which is debatable, it happened a lifetime ago. The grandchildren of those fans are now the base.
I wouldn’t really recommend going to an Eagles or Flyers game in Philadelphia if you are wearing anything with opposing team’s logo. Cheering for the opposing team in the crowd is pretty safe, because security will come get you of anyone starts harassing you.
Phillies and Sixer’s games are pretty tame though. I haven’t seen nearly as much rowdiness at those games.
