Tables give vouchers for chips

Just saw Bluff get a $3.8K voucher from the Free Bet Black Jack table. I didn't know tables were giving out vouchers for chips yet. It was a color-up when he was leaving the table. It looked like a TITO from a slot machine.

Which casino? Some places do this, some do not.

Not sure I should subscribe to this channel with such a poor strategy for playing, but it is content for Free Bet BJ bets.
It also looked like the Dealer scarfed a bet on the first round they shouldn't have, the right-most bet was a winner but the Dealer took it.

I don't know if $2K+ vouchers from tables are taxable hand pay events, it didn't seem like it. But it may not fit in slot machines or kiosks that won't take over $3K in credits. I also don't know if he can come back to the tables with that voucher and buy $3.8K worth of chips within 180 days, or is that a cage-only transaction to get the cash? If you are playing TITO sessions instead of daily sessions, you can try to kite these TITOs up to the limit ($10K?/$50K?) and write those down as session wins, instead of noting several losses along the way. Just put it down to Table Games TITO session instead of Black Jack session. Or maybe they just want you to write the table number in your gambling diary and call that a session.

But maybe the table was running low on certain chips and needed to present a voucher versus depleting chips from the table? I don't think it is the standard policy.

Boyd Gaming casinos in Las Vegas have implemented a system that lets players use TITO (ticket-in, ticket-out) vouchers to buy in at table games. Cash is always an option, of course, it’s Vegas.

Players can also get TITO vouchers when they “color up” (cash out) at a table, allowing them to easily move to slots or other tables, saving them a trip to the cashier cage.

A similar system has been in place at Resorts World since the resort opened.

Boyd has been quietly installing its system since July of 2022, but only recently completed the process at its Las Vegas casinos. Boyd is now bringing the system to its locations outside Las Vegas. Boyd operates 28 casinos across the country.

The pilot TITO option at Boyd’s table games happened at the Orleans in July 2022.

Other casinos in the Boyd family followed: Gold Coast and Aliante (Nov. 2022), Fremont and Main Street Station (Dec. 2022), California (Jan. 2023), March (2023),
Suncoast (May 2023) and Sam’s Town (June 2023).

As mentioned, being able to get chips with a ticket makes moving from a slot machine to a table, and vice versa, seamless.

Using TITO vouchers means no waiting in line when you’re ready to leave the casino, as you can get redeem your ticket for cash at a kiosk on your way out.

R World Vegas discontinued their system for buying chips with debit cards at the table. No more cashless at the tables, just traditional fiat, or pull a marker.

That sounds like a casino's dream as far as inducing someone to go from table games to slots.

It also means they don't have to do as many fills.

It also means less tips. No more tossing the dealer the odd reds and whites when you color up.

You can still do that if you do it before the color-up or tell them to keep the change and give you an even amount back on the voucher.
What I wonder about is if the color up is say $10,500, would somebody give a $600 tip so there's no CTR at the cage? They could just keep going until they lose back down to below $10K too and no tip. But if they keep winning they might be on their way to $20K+.
