Slots typically have variances similar to video poker. You can lose quickly betting $25 on BBD if you don't get quads.

In my experience, the Ainsworth Minor JP is quite fair. I have enough data to say that the Major JP is reasonably fair.

I know of a minor must-hit-by jackpot that routinely hits above the must-hit-by number.
