Recently won a local slot tournament (well I got 3rd but 1-4 we're all top payouts). Got $1000 cash that day. Now get to go to the Wynn for 4 nights in October. $500 dining credit, $800 airfare and entry into another tournament.

Sounds like there will be about 175 participants and minimum payout is $500. EV of final tournament is about $8,000 but the exciting part is competing for $1M. How many people in life ever get a realistic shot a a million bucks? I'm hyped up!

Wow that's really cool. You're right, how many people can say they had a 1/175 chance to become a millionaire? You should definitely make a trip report out of that =D, I'd like to see that journey! Congrats on the win, and the Wynn.

I had a 1 in 4 chance at winning $1,000,000 at Rio Las Vegas.
Having $250K in equity for five minutes was certainly exhilarating.

I was in a three day, six session slot tournament with a winner take all prize of $500,00.
After session three, I was in the top ten. Close enough to ponder how to spend it.
Tanked session four and five so I had no realistic shot on the final day.

Casinos are not your friends, they want your money. But so does Disneyland.
And there is no chance in hell that you will go to Disneyland and come back with more money than you went with.
