Seems to always pass up the good ones!?

Why does it seem that the reels keep spinning right past when it is going to be a good win?

I understand that the reels are probably not displaying the images that are actually going around, but it seems like when it is going to hit good, for whatever reason, the reels take longer than normal to stop, and it almost always "shows" a real good payout that keeps right on going! It cant be just me, can it?

I've always thought it was because the bonus symbols were chosen in such colors and patterns that our eyes could see them clearer. I'm more apt now to believe it's an intentional glitch. How they do it, I'm not sure.

Games are designed in such a way as to make the player feel they almost won. If you feel like you were just one symbol away from winning you are more apt to play more than if you spin and just got nothing. Scratch off lottery tickets work the same way and ironically enough it is this design that has enabled several people to beat them.
