A friend of mine from the slot forums posted this video on YT. Needless to say, she does not seem impressed and neither am I at this point. What does impress me however is the unique, personalized slot with Borgata logos. This kind of thing was done years ago, but the manufacturers must have refused to do it anymore. I would still prefer to play Cleopatra, Super Cherry, Benny Big Game than this 9 line nickel snoozer with what seems to be a low pay back just based on the boredom and the slow, slow, slow spin rate. I am suspicious the slow spin rate is a lame attempt to cover up the weak pay or else why intentionally do this? It makes me think they want people to think the game can't possibly be this stupid and to goad them to keep playing trying to prove it isn't true.

Possibly. I am shocked they would let this game be released with that slow of a rate. But really which would Borgata rather have? A slot that goes that slow (roughly 7 seconds a spin) and returns 83% (state minimum)? Or a slot that plays ~3 times as fast and returns 90%? I suspect they hired either crappy programmers/designers for it and/or it's a terrible lag time with their communications system to send/receive data because it sucks/is outdated (all scenarios are very likely). "Thar she blows!" after every win would also drive me away from the game.

I'm guessing the video poker games will also have this issue with speed. I would be interested in seeing the horrid paytables. I'd expect something like 6/5 JoB and DDB.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was designed with psychological aspects to it. Perhaps being purposefully slow, so people go downstairs where all the action is.

I know I'm just guessing about my assumptions on the slowness of the games, but it could also be to purposely be a dud at first, so they can wow them with the improvements. There always seem to be people yelling in the casino nobody does anything about and I wonder how long it would take for someone yelling in the room constantly for the casinos to act.

On a serious note, this has not been tested yet and someone is going to do a slot pop in their room before 2013 is over after some heavy losses. They had these on cruise ships where people can't bring weapons, but the casino doesn't check who brings guns into their rooms. The difference is when people lose $2500 on the slot floor they are in public and have 5-10 minutes not alone to be willing to accept the situation they will not have if they have been in the room losing all day. I hope for the best.

If Dave Chappelle was still working, that's all you would hear all year is people walking in public yelling "Thar she blows". I bet he would get his hands on that.
