Mississippi stud question

When Mississippi stud first came out, the betting structure read 1x,2x, or 3x on the layout. Now it reads 1x to 3x. My question is, do the players still have to make bets in 1x,2x &3x or is the player allowed to bet in a range from 1x to 3x? Ex. If a player has a $25 ante and on 5th street they only have $60 left, is a $60 bet allowed or are they restricted to $50?

It depends on the Casino. I have seen it both ways.
The mountain is tall but grass grows on top of the mountain.

Why would there be a need to change the layout If SHFL restricted the bets to 1x,2x &3x the ante ?
