From my blog:
LINK

I was playing electronic craps in NYC: chips, table, betting were all on touch screen but the dice were real.

anyway, the guy next me had an interesting strategy: $150 Dont, and continuous $150 field.
and wouldnt u know it, in the 15 min he was there, 12's came up TWICE for triple pay field each time.

his card said he had 20000 points on his screen. in contrast, my 2hrs of passline with buy/place 4/10, 6/8 only resulted in 400 points.
if those points were all in craps, more power to him...

But what kind of strategy is Don't (no odds) + continuous Field? i never seen it before.
anyone enlighten me?

Is this the Aruze craps game? I have not seen any of those that have triple field on 12. Anyway, any strategy that is taking no odds is a bad one IMO.

no, it was Interblock G4 Organic Dice w/2 white dice and a black die (for Sic Bo).

Combined house edge of 1.36%+2.78%. Not the worst strategy, but certainly not the best. I guess you are rooting for many of the field numbers when you have a come out bet on the don't pass.

Well, the most likely number, Seven, is an immediate loss as is the number Eleven. Six and Eight are not immediate losses but are the two that are most likely to wind up being losses for the DontPass player. Each and every time Seven is most likely to roll but six and eight are not all that far behind, so I prefer to be on the Dark Side and avoid the Field Bet for awhile, feeling its better to use the money as odds on my Don'tPass.
