My Craps "strategy" is pretty simple. I don't recall where I read about it or even if I did read about it or just thought it up on my own, though I am sure I am not the only person to have ever done it. That said I have never seen anyone else play the same "strategy" so perhaps others have tried it before with little or no luck.

Just an FYI I have have been going to casinos for 25 or so years but only learned Craps perhaps 18 months ago. Though I live in So Calif. I also own a 2nd home in Henderson NV which we travel to about 40 times a year and each of those times means some time spent in casinos. Typically The M, GVR or Silverton where $5 minimums are plentiful.

And yes, I understand that the dice (like cards) have no memory, no brain, no eyes etc but I have played enough of virtually every casino game to know that tables and games can have streaks of good luck and bad luck and or be choppy.

I find that most Craps tables are "choppy" and that, I think, is the best place for this strategy:

I start with $5 on Don't Pass. $5 C&E and a $1 dealer yo. (If the table has the bonus I will play $2/$1/$2 which I know is a sucker bet, but it has protected me against "hot" rollers several times so I do it.)

If 2, 3, 11, or 12 hit on the come out, I take $14 (if 2, 3 or 12) or $34 if 11 and put the $1 back up for the house on the yo.

If 7 I do the same bet as initial.

If a point is established I lay $30 odds on the Don't Pass. I make a $5 DC bet and I place $25 on 4, 5, 9, 10 and $30 on 6 & 8 (excluding the point number)

If shooter 7's out quickly at this point I am out a big (to me at least) amount but most often then shooter will hit at least 2 or 3 of those numbers before throwing a 7.

Each time a number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) is thrown I get paid on my place bet, my $5 DC moves to that number. I take down my place bet and lay $30 odds behind. I also drop a new $5 DC.

A Typical round may go something like:

$5 DP
$5 C&E
$1 Dealer Yo
Shooter comes out with an 8 ($6 lost)
$30 odds on DP
$5 DC
$25 Place bet on 4, 5, 9, 10 and $30 on 6 ($130 total place bets)
Shooter throws a 5
I get paid $35 for my place bet plus I take down my place bet recovering my $25. My $5 DC moves to the 5 and I lay $30 odds. I drop a new $5 DC. Of the $60 I got back ($35 winnings and return of my $25 place bet) I keep $25 in the bank.
Shooter throws a 6
I get paid $35 for my place bet plus I take down my place bet recovering my $30. My $5 DC moves to the 6 and I lay $30 odds. I drop a new $5 DC. Of the $65 I got back ($35 winnings and return of my $30 place bet) I keep $30 in the bank.
Shooter throws another 6
I lose $35. $5 DC moves to the 6 and I lay another $30 odds
Shooter throws a 10
I get paid $44 (damn vig) for my place bet plus I take down my place bet recovering my $25. My $5 DC moves to the 10 and I lay $30 odds. I drop a new $5 DC. Of the $69 I got back ($44 winnings and return of my $25 place bet) I keep $39 in the bank.
Shooter throws a 7
I lose my $5 DC, my $25 on each the 4 & 9 so $55 gone.
I win $30 on my Dont pass plus odds + $35 original wager = $65
I win $25 on my DC 5 + odds + $35 original wager = $60
I win $30 on my DC 6 + odds + $35 original wager = $65
I win $20 on my DC 10 + odds + $35 original wager = $55

So if I started with $200 in the bank I now have $338

The place bet #10 pays 9/5. You should be paid $45 for your $25 Place Bet, not $44.

Vig is paid when you Buy the #10, not when you Place it.

I never realized that but thanks. I will certainly question the dealer next time I play. Every time the 4 or 10 are rolled when playing this method I have been asked to "Drop $6" with the $1 going to the house, $5 + my $25 place bet being taken down to lay odds on my $5 DC and been given $50 winnings, netting $44 in the bank.

I will absolutely question it next time.

My Craps "strategy" is pretty simple.

I have seen something like this over the years playing Craps too. (I personally make just Lay bets)
The El Cortez downtown has a high roller doing something similar but different as he keeps his place bets up for a few wins and lowers a much larger dpass odds bet too. The dealers there get stressed out dealing to him.

your system of play looks easier to follow, imo. and maybe more fun win or lose.

Get rid of all the hedging, all it does is get you closer to the average, faster, with a greater expected loss. Not good for everyday gambling (exceptions to be made on a case by case basis).

Other than that, I find it interesting. If you stay at tables for less than an hour the pit might write you in at an average over $100 (when all the place bets are out) which isn't necessarily true in the long run. Definitely not how I'd like to play though and I haven't seen it before... I'd remember that much hedging.

and could be fun too.
I think this sequence of dice rolls happens way too often as many shooters get lazy rolling the dice after a point is set.
notice the 7 winner right away. I used to do that often.
