I agree!
However, I've been on the OTHER end of that spectrum...7 7-outs in a row...gotta go!

A couple of years ago after a disastrous trip to Vegas playing the right side, my son and I are driving back and we see the billboard at Primm that says "Last Chance To Get Even" so we pull into Whiskey Pete's and decided to bet the DP and lay the 4. Why not? We got killed playing the right way, so this would be the best way to "get even."

Little did we know, this giant table (Whiskey Pete has aircraft carrier tables) would have one monster roll shooter after another. Each of them must have had their rolls of a lifetime.

so much for the "last chance to get even." LOL

getting crushed can happen, but not just to your bank roll.

Most of the time a person gets crushed because they are bound and determined that cant
happen. The all time silly thing is for a dont better to allow one person to crush them.
The dark side better can only win the last number...... they can never make up for the loss
alone the way.

Your confidence can also get crushed if you are or want to be a dice sitter.... this is the worst
week of practice i have had in years... barely a 6 srr , no access control what so ever on my right die.

the better the toss looked the more 4/3 4/3 i got in the hardway set, switchd to the 3/v and still
got that. and i had more flyers ( 1 die taking off to the left) in the 3 v set for me that is a 6-1 every
time.

that is the hardest part of dice controll, if you have a problem it is almost always the grip , and for me it
the ring finger. Many times my right die will hit and jump over the left die, and when that happens you
lose axis control... my left die is on access 75% of the time... the right, well that is another story altogether. I broke
the damn thing a number of times as a catcher in baseball... so the top knuckle wont bend, that is no excuse
since sometimes the toss is fine, but it has to be fine more often, no casino play this weekend until i get this
corrected or i will lose more than my confidence.

You made the mistake of not "playing the table". It's okay to have a gameplan, but never let your gameplan take over what's actually happening... If you would have just assessed the table when you got there, instead of being pre-judgmental about about the conditions, you could have walked out of there a 35 minutes with a nice chunk of cash...

For craps, I go by something called reflection, reflector,, reflected... These words are used in a slight variation of their actual meaning so bare with me.. In this case the reflection is what "we want to perceive"... In Most situations, people only see what they want to see. So they come to the table with their preconceived ideas, strategies, and dreams, wrapped all-in-one. This cause alot of bad faith. Based on non-actual conditions. This is not rooted in reality.

The reflector and reflected are the actual present conditions of the Table.. In the reflector, you have the knowledge but you begin making decisions on what's "actually happening in front of you" versus your past knowledge.. It sounds basic but you will be surprised how your judgement and assessment changes when money is in front of you. How many times have you watched a shooter and not bet on him because you seen him PSO one time? And after you dismiss him, the next thing you know he rolls well, and he goes a pretty good distance. You did not bet on that first shooter because of your past experiences and conditions at that casino... You were a victim of your reflection... You've seen yourself lose betting on the "DO" so you came with the preconceived notion of the don't.

Your game has to have some fluidity in it at all times...

In one of Frank Scoblete's books he wrote that he never loses more than one bet against any one shooter when playing the darkside. This would keep him from getting wiped out on one monster roll. If the shooter makes a point he waited for the next shooter. Seems like a good way to extend your time at the table, build some comps and wait for the point seven out rolls. I believe he also opted for don't come instead of don't pass so he did not have money on the shooters come out roll in case they were setting for the seven.

Good play.

Add to that: as an option and as a pretty cheap way to keep in action, and to perhaps sniff out a possible trend going the other way, bet hard six and eight after your darkside bet goes down.
