Arnold Snyder in his book "blackbelt in blackjack" go's on to talk about indexs for his red seven system which i know of, but flip the page and he shows indexs to use when half the shoe remains (for instance 6 deck shoe, and 3 decks left).....

he explained that 12-16 indexs of 4 are where you stand and the surrender indexes are self-explanitory, but he has 9 - 11 on that chart as well and im assuming there there to tell you when to double, but im not sure and dont want to make a wrong play when it comes time to use these indexes.....so anyone have any information into what snyder is talking about here??

as stated in the book for player hands 12-16 the index nubber listed is minimum number to stand on(this could be a pos or neg number) other wise hit

I dont think it states it anywhere but for player hands 8-11 the index listed is the min number to double down on, other wise hit

This makes sense because as the deck gets better you double down more and stand on your stiffs
as the deck gets worse you double down less and hit you stiffs
