I was wondering what the odds were for losing x number of times (x being between 1 - 10) in a row. Also do the odds change after playing several hundred hands?

My first time playing blackjack after reading all the blackjack strategy chart n forum, I lost 9 times and win 1 times in a row in singapore marina bay sands casino and lost 8 times n win 2 time in singapore resort world sentosa. min bet is $25 and both lost in 15 min. I think i will quit blackjack cos in theory it is easy to win but in real world, hard to win. I tried roulette and feel that it is easier. Maybe i am not good at card game.

Chances of something happening in a row where X is the something as expressed as a percentage and Y is the times in a row:

X^(Y-1)

The reason for the -1 is that the first time is assumed. If you do not wish to assume the first time then it's simply X to the Y power.

.53^9 = 0.003299 or 1 chance in 303.

Yes.
The longer one plays, the more hands played, the chances for at least one streak of any length increases as does the chances for multiple streaks with the increase of many trials or hands played
