I've just started playing blackjack and have learnt basic strategy. However at my casino the dealer only deals them self with one card. So, if you are last to act their second card comes from the shoe after all the players have played. This being the case, does basic strategy still work? The reason i ask this is for example you have 16 and they have 10. It says you should hit. However cards that help you (2,3,4,5) would be bad for the dealer so is it better to stick? Is there a chart anywhere for this kind of blackjack?

As was mentioned in the thread below, the no-hole-card rule does not affect hit/stand strategy. (If you would lose all bets if the dealer draws a blackjack, that would affect whether or not you would double or split though.)
