Heading to Encore. Want to play blackjack for first time. I printed off a strategy sheet from another website.

Will they let me reference this while playing?

Purely recreational, just looking to keep odds as good as possible.

Thanks!

Most Casinos will let you use a strategy card. Some prefer you use a store bought plastic card. Others will allow any small printout, but I would make it smaller then a playing card. The pit critter might ask to look at it. You should be ok, but let us know what you find out. And next time memorize + practice!

I have never heard of them not letting you. As the other poster said, make it playing-card size if you can. Business card size better. Check the WoO site for some.

One slice of advice is DO know most of the right plays. Even if they do not mind you referring to it, they will mind if you have to look at it each and every time. Play on a trainer online (hitorstand.net is about the best) for an hour or two before even sitting at the table. By then you will have most of it down. Good luck.

And next time memorize + practice!

Main thing is to avoid placing it on the surface, they don't like something that might reflect the dealers hole card lying on the table.

Frankly, I'd learn ultral Basic Simplified or whatever they call it. And practice it.

80 percent of hands are covered by:

If Dealers Upcard is: xxxxxxxxxxx you then draw until xxxxxxxxxxxx.
2 or 3 .................13
4,5,6 ....................12
7 or more ................17.
If you have xxxxxxx then Double on xxxxxxxxxxxxx:
9, ........ Dealers 3-6.
10......... Dealers <10
11..........Dealers <11

Always Split:
Aces
Eights.

..................
Thats it... I think. Better check though.
