I prefer Hi-Lo, in some ways it just seems more straightforward, and easy to interpret what the count means. Especially since I don't vary my bet much, and primarily use the count to judge when to leave the shoe.

Wouldn't the best counting system to use be the one that was the simplest to utilize? After all if dealer and floor are going to be getting suspicious and starting some conversations to distract you, you want to be able to do a simple quick count without seeming to mind the fact that the floorman is coming over and yacking at you about some nonsense in an effort to distract you.

It's really time to plan on leaving, they're most likely to back you off, particularly if you keep counting. You don't want to be backed off, you want to leave on your own.

Hi-Lo. That was the gold standard when I learned to count, in the 80s.

Casinos that trained floor personnel to count almost always used Hi-Lo because that's what the majority of card counters use. With the new surveillance systems in place, the days of the sweaty pit boss and card counting floors are waning with a few exceptions.

My last back off came from a woman who wasn't even on the floor. She approached me from behind and I initially thought she was a host- not that I ever get a host.

I'm a fan of the K-O count, and after already knowing the basics of Hi-Lo it was very easy to learn.

I use the hi opt 1. I play single deck and keeping track of 4 aces for the side count isn't too much of a problem.

other: simple Ace-five counting.

Actually I am new to BJ so counting isnt much in my repertoire; usually it's CSM too. Just getting BS down is my focus.

But you have to be a fool not to pay attention to something like seeing a bunch of Aces come out of a fresh shoe. So I am going to say I have counted!
