I've had this tab open for 5 weeks and finally watched the video and it's a fun video to watch. But yeah, a chain on the shoe versus the cooler shoe. I could rack my brains reverse engineering for cooler shoes, so I won't.

to me, a person who cheats to win - or who even just demonstrates how it's done, has no self respect or dignity
I guess they justify it by saying to themselves "everybody cheats"
doesn't work for me

I'd rather lose than cheat to win

This next video is about "mucking cards" to switch an ace into a black jack winner hand. Seems like a lot of waiting around for the opportunity and how do you muck back the card you mucked? I've watched these online dealers and they seem to bring their hand too close to the shoe when checking their dealer cards and it looks like it could be some form of mucking but the onscreen card reader seems to know what the cards are before they are even turned over so that sleight of hand wouldn't hold up.

This next video is about past posting which is illegal. It could have been done back in the day say 4 decades ago back when the underworld ran the casinos and surveillance cameras were crap. But it takes skill, so what is that skill? Here's what not to do, which is past posting.

You think people who just demonstrate cheating have no self-respect or dignity? Like magicians and performers?

Saying "everybody cheats" is not the justification. They do it to make money. That's the justification.

of course, their goal is to make money - that's not a justification

"A person who purposely or knowingly commits fraud while attempting to win money at the casino can be charged with a criminal offense for cheating and swindling."

see link

a person who does things that are morally reprehensible will have in their mind a justification for why it was okay for them to do this

I believe one of the most common justifications is to say "everybody cheats" - that is what they will claim makes it okay for them to cheat when they have to explain it to their family if and when they are charged with a crime - or if for example their wife finds about it and is not accepting of it

magicians and performers are not even remotely similar to a person showing potential cheats how to switch decks at a blackjack table

a terrible analogy

imo a person who tried this very easy to spot cheating move shown in the vid with cameras everywhere in a casino including outside is a total moron

dropping something behind the table to make a loud noise and distract the pit boss - what a joke

I've spent thousands of hours at bj tables - if I was a PB I would have spotted this even if I came to work stoned out of my mind

But there are magicians whose entire schtick is cheating techniques, including mucking cards and switching decks...

I'm not really familiar with such magicians

but I would guess that their goal is to entertain

not to educate potential cheats on how to cheat a casino or their friends at a poker game

instructing very foolish and morally bankrupt people on how to swindle a casino with a terrible cheating move seems to have been the goal of the maker of the vid

My reason for watching these sorts of videos isn't to learn how to cheat. I do like to know how the cheats are performed. I like to make darn sure that my square play has little or nothing in common with a 'move'. I want any accusation of cheating to be obviously laughable on review.

For example, that means when I'm placing chips on the spot to wager, my hand isn't obscuring the chips from The Eye - thumb/finger grip on the edges and my hand doesn't cross over any chips in play, so it's clear I'm not mucking, pinching, or capping.
May the cards fall in your favor.
