according to stephenhow's article, there are 16 buffer cards in csm and player can have very little edge over the house with windowed count.

well, i have been windowed counting for 6 months now and have had small success with it. the casino i am going gives very good rebate and comps so thats a plus.

yesterday, i was playing as usual and they had to move the table next to me or whatever, so they had to clear up the table and when they opened up the machine and started taking out all the cards inside, i quickly counted the buffer cards while they were taking them out one by one and there were 21 cards in it.

a few months ago, one machine was malfunctioning and they were taking out the cards, there were only 11 cards in it. when i saw that happened i didnt think about much because it was less than 16 cards and thought maybe 5 cards were already used. but what about the 21 cards? how is that possible if it only has 16 buffer cards?

it could be more than 16 cards it could be more than 21. i know the machine adds new cards every 9 cards are used because it makes noise every 9 cards.

so what is the exact size of the buffer?

EDIT: the machine they are using is one2six.

Depends how the casino set it...if you can beat a game with a windowed count, it must be something crazy. There are better opportunities with continuous shufflers though, and they are incredibly hard to find.
