Quote: GreasyjohnI've played in this Indian casino on about eight different 2-day trips. I've won on 6 of those 8 trips. I don't really think I should push it there if they're use OSN, or if they share info with other Indian properties. I play a $5 game and spread 1-12. 6D, DAS, H17. Never bet over $50 a hand. Open for $20. Any thoughts welcome.
Forget "Indian vs Corporate". If it's in the States, assume they talk. If it's in the Caribbean, assume they talk. If it's in Uruguay, assume they talk. If it's in South Africa, assume they talk.
If you're in a casino, assume they talk. Not only is it safer, but it's true more often than not.
Quote: GreasyjohnIf you're backed off at one store, is it possible you can't play at any Indian casinos. What do you think is likely?
It's certainly likely, probably even guaranteed, if they're sister sites within the same tribe you'll get trounced from them all. If you get backed off at Mohegan Sun and then hit up Cherokee, less likely. Much less.
Everyone talks to everyone. But 1-12 playing red? Lol, that's one BOLO I'd not even save in my inbox unless it happened at my specific tribe's property and happened both repeatedly and recently.
But, everyone talks.
Quote: mcallister3200First you have to be noticed, second there has to be a surveillance employee motivated enough to look through the pictures in the database which often suck. I haven't been backed off in about a half year SINCE being in OSN, despite about a dozen in the year before (about 2/3 of which were either chain properties or repeats.) Go figure. While you don't want to be in it, it's not such a big deal. Motivated surveillance employees who aren't stretched thin are uncommon. It is a big deal if you use a poison name, or if you're playing at another chain property in same geographic location. Basically if you're not using a poison name or aren't recent, it's going to take them almost as long to look through the database as it would be to run a skills check.
What's a poison name?
Quote: SonuvabishWhat's a poison name?
I believe* a name that has previous history (back off) at that property, related property, or one that is in OSN.

By that definition, Mcallister's name is poison. So i don't get it.
Quote: mcallister3200So I don't use my name, capeche?
Oh. Well then my name is poison too. No more comps forever?

If it's in south africa, they probably don't talk, because if you're caught cheating or APing you won't be playing again, ever.

Care to back that up?

Necklacing?

In South Africa? It's mostly white people who speak English. Are you sure?
doesn't have to be, that's your decision, just tilts the risk meter of playing rated a little further.Quote: SonuvabishOh. Well then my name is poison too. No more comps forever?

Meh, I knew a Surv director from there. Their casino scene was mostly similar to here, except instead of a guy rushing a float wearing a motorcycle helmet, it was 5 guys rushing the float with AKs. Same, but different =p
