New here, bout to go cruising again with Carnival, you can buy expensive Internet connection on board, but many sites are blocked. You try them, blocked.... But you still pay for the connection. I hope they really have pure six decks in their continuous shuffle shoes. I plan to kick ass!

Yes, the wizard of Vegas. And any other site that covers and/or discusses gambling that Carnival can identify apparently.

And why would the public library block a site such as this? You can't gamble online here, though there are links I guess. Last time I looked I think I paid for the library, and a lot,of other things that aren't run the way I would choose. But I digress, just thought it was "cute" that Carnival blocks access to any advice. They have the house advantage built into the game, and yes - most of the players are ploppies.

Perhaps you could wish me luck, sometimes I need some luck when doubling ( not really doubling, I don't know the correct, term ) when going thru the progression of wagers.

There have been bets placed here... or more likely, the filter is just trying to divine on its own whether a site violates its policies.

I doubt Carnival blocks the site personally because they don't want people to get gambling advice. They probably just subscribe to one of many web filtering companies (i.e. Websense) who categorize various sites into different areas, and then they choose which of their categories (mostly porn, but also apparently other vices) to block. Much easier than going through all the different porn/gambling sites out there and doing it yourself, but sometimes some perfectly legit sites fall through the cracks.

Ditto.

The Wizard's sites are not gambling, but are about gambling. As such, they are lumped in with all the other gambling sites. Therefore, if a service provider choses to block "gambling", the Wizard's sites will be blocked.

For the record, I've seen my poker league's site and my own Poker For Roulette site get blocked because of gambling.
