I was at my local casino earlier tonight playing some $25 DD, not really doing anything fancy. I was pressing after winning until getting to five units as long as the count was cooperating. I hit some really good positive fluctuation and made out pretty good. This other guy entered the table and quickly lost 2k betting 8 greens with no concern for the count. He buys in for another k and starts betting like crazy, with no real correlation to the count, just simply getting lucky with the positive fluctuation I was enjoying. He obviously wasn't counting, just getting lucky with some doubles and splits and then ironically enough drops to the table min for the hand the dealer gets a blackjack. He's drunk an oblivious to the fact that there is a conference of suits watching his play now that he is
up a few k. Long story short the odds catch up with him and he quickly proceeds to give it all back and then some. However during this time he was providing great cover cause i was fairly confident NOBODY was paying any attention to my play. But my question is if anyone has ever witnessed this type of situation, seeing people catch heat or getting backed off for having pure dumb luck and obviously not counting or playing any type of system? Seeing this tonight just made me curious, thanks for any and all replies.

When you count cards, it is all about betting. Most people do not give thought to how much they should bet, but this is the key. Playing basic strategy, the cards play themselves.

You need to bet at at least 1-10 spread. When I count, I bet have only three bets, min, 5 times min, and 10 times min. The suits do not care if the players bets big only, it is when the spread is great that it sends out a red flag. I know of a case where a person was banned from playing craps because he was too lucky there. The casino persons are superstitious as much as the players are. It is true even more at a small casinos where one big player can ruin there bottom line for the week/month. After all they are only human.

At one casino, I made about 10 pass line wins. I was throwing the dice hard and had both dice hid the back each and every time. I was told not to throw so hard. I told them they were idiots, picked up my chips and passed the dice.
