Just like that, open the floodgates for all banned members to return? Even the ones who possibly threatened The Wizard, people who have and continue to say horrible things about him, people who have not paid their debts or even worse?

What about people who had multiple chances and still proved they couldn't conduct themselves?

It wouldn't make any difference to me, but If I'm in The Wizards position, I just couldn't come up with a good reason why doing that is a good idea. I guess it would add more posts and views to the WOV forum.

I see it this way, Let them in if they so much as sneeze they get hit with the nuke hammer
This way those who have repented can come back contribute make the forum bigger
and better.

Its so easy to kick their asses back out, open the damn door lets see what happens
we'll call it an experiment. The cream will rise to the top and the crap will get re-kicked
out.

As far as threats and crap I really don't see how one can take what I have seen here
to seriously for Christ sake I think the worst one came from a geriatric drunk dude.

I see this as an AP, I see short term negative variance and long term positive.
Also if wizard should do this he will be walking in the foot steps of Hey Zeus
and will find himself standing upon righteous ground which is euphoric and
powerful.

You would have to go read some of the other various gambling forums, it can get very nasty. Feel free to PM me, I'll send you a link. I know this forum isn't supposed to take into account what people say on other forums, but it's hard to ignore if it's directed at you, the forum you represent and the forum's Mods. It goes to show why they were banned in the first place(I'm not talking about everyone that was ever banned). I would say, this is a situation where it would be better to pick and chose who you want back.

It would be taken as a sign of weakness. I can just hear it now from some of the banned members, "we told you so, the site was dying and needed us to survive"

So you mean there is a chance?
I suspect if you pardoned them all and gave them a clean slate they'd end up nuked all over again.

I don't know about multiple account BS. but I wouldn't want to see anyone banned for
insulting me. (people need to put their big boy pants on) We are loosing members
who could increase are knowledge & fun here
exponentially, but instead the powers that be increasingly move toward a police state.

Who here is without sin, who hasn't spoken out of anger? On this forum these
transgressions can lead to a life sentence and who really serves this sentence?
The forum, the membership itself.

I believe Wizard should wipe the slate and open the door to all previously
banned members. I won't make my case for it here as I don't wish to put
forth the effort when there is no chance in Hades. However I do believe
I could successfully argue the case if Wizard had an open mind about it.

I have had conflict in my life with individuals which lead to total disdain
towards them. Fast forward they are some of the greatest people I
know and am honored to have them as friends.

The rule was mainly made to prohibit banned members from just returning under a new name. However, I also don't want people making fake identities as a joke with the intention to troll until banned.

Where does it work? Maybe in a Buddhist (I can never remember how to spell that) church.

I was thinking about this after your post. I suppose if you blew your one life then you wouldn't be around any more to regret having blown it. If you were around, somehow, you can always make something of your next chance, hopefully. Either way, no regrets.

Banned members should have their post immediately deleted if they are found out right away. Part of the reason they come back is because they know their post will stay.

Worthiness is in the eye of the beholder.

I support your right to ban, but not your power to dictate what we, the readers, deem to be worthy of reading.

The reality is that YOU don't deem them worthy to be heard here, so you or another mod have banned them, usually for breaking a forum rule.

Some of us may disagree with you on the worthiness issue, but it's not our board, so case closed.

If we disagree with the way the board is run we can (and some do) leave.

Merry Christmas, I hope you're well. I hear there is a pinball-based skill game gaining some popularity in Vegas, so at least you can tell some of your detractors to shove it in one regard.

Yes, it's a bonus game in a version of Texas Tea. I think it can be found in other games as well.

That's a pretty liberal definition of skill-based gambling to accept Texas Tea.

That is, unless someone can tell me how I could use skill to get a positive EV.

I don't know that it's Texas Tea specifically, but from what I have heard about some of the bonus features, yes, that is kind of what I'm driving at.

What an interesting but horrible thread. I missed the original post but I think I sort of understand what is going on. I am all for wishing everyone a Happy Day since some people don't celebrate the same days but after reading this thread it is odd that this thread isn't just closed. It seems to be an embarrassing thread for all involved. I don't think I would have read this thread if it hadn't recently been bumped, is that the correct terminology?
