I take jackpot pictures to share with this forum but the Self proclaimed wizard of odds... actually he borrowed that name from a mobster go figure, can go screw... or jump off a cliff.

I can see how one might take it that way, but I am almost certain The Wizard didn't mean it how PPP may have taken it.
One must sometimes give the math guys a little leeway when they say something. IMO they are wired slightly different and don't always pick up on certain things.

How about you both take a few steps back and a deep breath? I don't think Wizard meant to demean you, but I can see where you got that idea, so no, I'm not giving him another ban, djt. It's an angry response but falls just short of a personal insult.
Ppp, you and Mike are both good guys with a lot more in common than not. He offended you before, so now you're looking for it. Your advice and posts are valued, and not just by me. Can the two of you perhaps have a truce? No more shots? I'd appreciate it.

I didn't lie to you or anyone. I was constrained by the PM rule from saying something directly, but now that he's said it openly, I can agree that you were correct. I had hoped, however, because there was good reason for the name change, that you could put 2 and 2 together like everyone else could and not troll him repeatedly, in this thread and others, while we tried to work out the name change problem. Guess not, since you trolled him several times.

There have been stores around here called Wizard of Odds since the 80s. I wouldn't doubt the use since the movie Wizard of Oz was made or the book. It's one of those things bound to be thought of by anybody obsessed with gambling. I must be very naive. I didn't know any of the banned members are knowingly back. My thoughts are that the admins should notify us if that is the case. What if one of the banned members that is back under a different name had welched on a bet? Would management accept the liability if that same user under another name welched on a bet?
I don't mind people being allowed back at the discretion of management, but I think it needs to be under the same name to avoid deception.
Personally, I believe that multiple accounts is an immediately nukable offense. I have never allowed anyone to break that rule, except Buzz's second account. He only formed a second account because he lost his password and never denied his association to the first account. However, it set a terrible precedent, for which I'll take the blame. For that, I am sorry.
Regarding the StrictlyAP allegation, I have asked the member who he is alleged to be for his version. If they are the same, he takes steps to use a different IP. I take the matter seriously.
I do think that we admins have drifted apart in our implementation of forum rules and we need to regroup and get on the same page.
As for Money/PPP, I wish you well, elsewhere.
I think we as members were unaware of this "good reason" rule that allowed people to change their screen names. I know I was confused as to why he made the name change, especially since his self-imposed ban was up. Was his time up before his reincarnation? I haven't followed the timeline. I was wondering if he had made a new name because no one lifted his ban on time(that happens frequently).
Had I thought there was a good reason, I would not have made that comment. It didn't seem as if he was trying to hide who he previously was or anything like that. Again, I kind of assumed his time was up and he took matters into his own hands and just made a new name.
I'm baffled as to how a name change would help when that person is posting in an almost identical writing style, talking about the same type of stuff and posting pictures, especially when it's VERY obvious that it's the same person.
I admit I'm a bit biased when it comes to people I like, so I didn't really care Monet changed his name, however, I can see how other members might be agitated knowing someone was allowed to change their screen name. It seemed to us as if the administration was just turning a blind eye. Did he ask for permission prior to making a new screen name? Or did he do it, then get confronted, and then explain why later, thus being granted permission after the fact? To be clear I don't care how many screen names HE has. I know it's him, I like him, so I don't care. He's not some guy like B79 who was doing creepy shit and making up complete BS. There's also situation whereby knowing or allowing someone to change their name can lead to some nefarious sh*t.
BTW, had this been someone like ZenKing he would have been trolled relentlessly and I think it would have been a long while before anyone came to his rescue.

I know very little about this, the only thing I can offer is what’s clearly on record, which is that PingPangPong was created two or three days before the minimum self-suspension of thirty days by Monet had been completed.
With that, it would technically violate the self-suspension, but my opinion would be that he didn’t create it to circumvent the suspension. It’s not like it was one or two days, or even a week later.
Beyond that, I know nothing. I only know what’s on record.

I believe Wizard should wipe the slate and open the door to all previously
banned members. I won't make my case for it here as I don't wish to put
forth the effort when there is no chance in Hades. However I do believe
I could successfully argue the case if Wizard had an open mind about it.
I have had conflict in my life with individuals which lead to total disdain
towards them. Fast forward they are some of the greatest people I
know and am honored to have them as friends.

We all are in agreement that starting today we will uphold that rule. As far as I know, there are no violators currently active. I pledge that I will take seriously any evidence of violations of this rule and welcome anybody to PM me with their accusations and what evidence they have to support it.

The rule was mainly made to prohibit banned members from just returning under a new name. However, I also don't want people making fake identities as a joke with the intention to troll until banned.
Much like in real life, you get only one shot. Make it count.

What about people who had multiple chances and still proved they couldn't conduct themselves?
It wouldn't make any difference to me, but If I'm in The Wizards position, I just couldn't come up with a good reason why doing that is a good idea. I guess it would add more posts and views to the WOV forum.
