Exactly! Skill and practice, practice and skill. This will get you to a point in roulette and bac where you can make an educated guess as to the next outcome and be right more often than wrong.

Why is this thread not joining MDawg adventures in purgatory?

That's not the solution either - hiding every thread that draws controversy. The will of the people is being suppressed, and even discussion about hidden threads is being hidden. Any thread that draws responses or traffic should appear wherever it should - there should be no censorship.
The Wizard himself has proposed more than once the novel concept of "not reading" something you don't like - apparently WOV decided that the people can't decide for themselves what to read or not read and is censoring material.

that's not the point - outrageous claims are being made without the least bit of evidence - it doesn't belong on the front page of WOV
I will at least give you credit for this - you made some efforts to substantiate your claims - EB makes no such effort - he just simply makes unbelievable statements
Quote: MDawgthere should be no censorship.
this is not censorship - you as an attorney should know that
if James Grosjean approaches the New York Times and asks to write an article about his gambling exploits the Times might well accept such an article as Grosjean is well known and accepted as a legendary gambler with great skill
if EB approaches the Times with the same offer they will decline
that's not censorship.................it's called 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
just as the Times has a right to print what it chooses to so does WOV have a right to display or not to display what it chooses and where it chooses
there's no difference at all

It's funny how an attorney doesn't understand the difference between freedom of speech as it relates to government versus privately owned businesses
And given that only popular threads are censored, that does come down exactly to censorship. If a controversial threads draws no interest, WOV doesn't hide it.
Censorship doesn't have to infringe free speech. Censorship means - prohibition OR suppression.
Anyway, this is a private forum so yes there is no constitutionally recognized right to free speech. But still, a forum consists of people and when the will of the people is being suppressed it ceases to be representative of the people who make up the forum.
In sum: any WOV controversial thread that draws traffic is up for being hidden, and this is happening almost daily lately.
Quote: darkozIt's funny how an attorney doesn't understand the difference between freedom of speech as it relates to government versus privately owned businesses
Censorship is the suppression of information.
That's what's happening here with the hidden threads.
Censorship can be conducted by governments, private institutions, and other controlling bodies.
Censorship can become a free speech issue if conducted by government.
But it's funny how nobody mentioned "freedom of speech" until you just did.
Which attorney are you referring to above?
I have posted controversial matters, such as the NY AP thread and those were not suppressed. In fact when one mod, BBB did try to shut it down she was overruled.
The controversy there wasn't truthfulness of the claims but feelings of confidential secrets of AP being described.
The bottom line. WOV has positioned itself as a source of "reliable" gambling information and threads that support winning by "skill at watching the Roulette ball enough to know what it's going to land on next" are bad for the gullible public who land here looking for guidance.

I believe the moderators listened to the will of the people when it came to your threads and their. assorted spinoffs.

So your entire winning method is educated guesses based on your skill and practice. Yet with years and years of skill and practice, you still choose to win nothing more than a hiccup.

Forum administrators may hide threads that don't convey our goal to improve the player's odds in the casino. At conflict with that is our respect of free speech. As a happy medium, we hide threads we wish did not exist, but don't break any specific forum rules.
[I had to hyperlink to the post because as coming from a closed thread I could not quote the post.]
But censorship is exactly what is happening. I had a thread about celebrities in casinos where one topic that was discussed was whether or not a hockey team had appeared at a casino, and it was hidden. The issue there was just (1) controversy, (2) traffic. Evidently, meet both (1) and (2) criteria and a thread may be hidden.

The attorney who compared it to communism as in government controlled suppression
Quote: MDawgDarkOz goes off on his own tangents. I hadn't even read his post when I interjected the reality of that freedom of speech isn't what is at issue here. Although, interestingly, this is how the Wizard broached the matter:

Technically it's being hidden like an Easter Egg on the site. Your MDawg thread can still be accessed for those that wish to look.
The thread has not been closed and discourse can still occur.
It simply isn't being actively promoted on the front page of threads.
It's not the same as the library banning a book. It's more like the library put your book in a back section which requires readers to take a few extra steps.
Or a better example, your MDawg TV show with all the ratings at 8pm has now been moved to the 3am slot.
That's not the definition of censorship in my opinion

He never mentioned freedom of speech until you did...it's funny that you did.
That is suppression. You must know that the definition of censorship is prohibition OR suppression.
Even banned books do not cease to exist, they are merely banned and hence both prohibited and suppressed.
it's funny to read MDawg's crybaby rant about what he obviously wrongly calls censorship
when a negative statement was made about him on this forum right away he went crying to the Mods to have the post taken down and have the poster suspended

Your opinion notwithstanding, that's the definition of censorship,

I don't know what it is about MDawg that brings out the worst in these people. You decide to stop ignoring someone for a minute, give him credit that he could carry on an intelligent conversation and he can't help but come with the childish insults.

You are currently participating in the thread,

There are thousands of threads on this forum.
That don't appear on the front page!
Your definition of censorship or freedom of speech isn't pertinent because of that. Your real complaint is that it's not visible right away regardless of traffic
Otherwise, it's ability to be seen is no different than thousands of other threads on here and can be accessed in all the same manners
That's not the definition of suppression or censorship.

At least they have a thread they can still post in. Now politics is actually censored, aside from what already exists.
Quote: darkozit's ability to be seen is no different than thousands of other threads on here
That's incorrect.
Currently active threads have been targeted,
purposefully hidden, suppressed and thus censored.
Any of those thousands of other threads you reference
would appear on the front page if they have current activity.

Well, boo hoo hoo!
Too bad.
The plurality of people have spoken and are happy it's where it is.
Welcome to the minority! How's it feel?
Quote: MDawgI he can't help but come with the childish insults.
but you were real quick to lobby to have these insults taken down and have the poster suspended
in those instances you advocated what you call "censorship"
to summarize:
what you call "censorship" is the right thing when you see it benefitting you

On an unrelated note. I understand that some in this thread have some good recipes (we've seen the food pics) AND winning methods (We haven't seen those). They keep secrets too. But they can't resist telling us how well their methods work. Read into that what you will.
