I have a friend, lives in Vegas, an Infectious Disease expert. He is guessing mid May. But even he admits it is just a guess. This is of course unprecedented.
Once legal to open, it of course will not be 100% safe. I can't imagine being among the first to go back into a just opened casino. I bet there are thousands who can't imagine NOT being among the first.

You can't even stand near someone at the supermarket now! When you are ready to checkout the have you in an aisle 6 feet from the others, and then they direct you to a checkout clerk. You put your groceries on the belt and the checkout girl rings it up. You pay by credit card and then go to your car. A kid brings out the groceries to your car. So as much as is possible they are isolating you from the employees, and the employees from you.
May 1 would be the earliest....but this is predicated on getting this under control. Right now I see nothing to indicate “control”. I expect in 2 weeks we will know where we stand with new cases.
As it is....a lot will change in the casino environment, imo. Wipe downs like mad, still social distance and lastly....sh*tcan smoking in the confines. The latter being hope they do it.

Both MDawg and challenger show up with 50 ounces of ketchup
Both will use their supply of ketchup on all hotdogs, hamburgers, fries, rice, beans, macaroni and eggs as possible
Both will try to get as much free ketchup as possible.
MDawg may have an advantage as he knows the secret that ketchup packets are handed out for free at both McDonald's and Burger King

A question arose the other day about the martingale suspension operation. Someone noted Mdawg never was given a three day suspension. So the current sentence given is part of a progression flawed from the start. We all know certain posters in the past received favorable suspensions not in line with these draconian measures.
Hopefully he’s back on the tables by August.
He could be a long term winner. Doubtful...but the possibility exists even on a negative expectation game like baccarat. Can’t prove it. Can’t disprove it.

The owners of Internet forums can do whatever they like, ban whoever they like for whatever reason they like. Freedom of speech does not apply. There is no need for a set of rules other than as a guide to acceptable behaviour. So if he had have been banned from the start then that’s totally fine.
The problem arises when you choose to allegedly follow the rules rigidly but then selectively enforce them. And no one can honestly deny that is what happens. I mean, how did PokerGrinder get away with a 14 day suspension for the disgraceful, personal abuse that he hurled? His post looked eerily similar to another recent post that resulted in the poster being nuked.
Allowing other posters to clearly break the rules by goading MDawg non-stop until he slips up and breaks a rule himself is a disgrace. Pretending that you are just enforcing the rules is laughable. I won't even argue your points. My point is simple. On a forum devoted to gambling, and the math behind it, and the techniques that can be used to decrease or in some cases overcome the house edge, the posts by MDawg were antithetical to the purpose of this forum. I believe he was given ample opportunity to respond in meaningful ways, but when he continually would imply he 'could tell when a shoe was hot', or how another gambler was stupid for 'betting against a streak', those kind of comments are not what this forum is about.
Mike has said he always has what he calls the 'nuclear option', which can be used if an exact written rule has not been broken, but it is just obvious that a poster is a negative for the forum.

Mike has said he always has what he calls the 'nuclear option', which can be used if an exact written rule has not been broken, but it is just obvious that a poster is a negative for the forum.
Have some other posters been rude or mean to MDawg? Sure, you are right. You talk about 'the disgusting trolling that he receives'. His entire plethora of posts is one giant troll. If he comes back, I'll interact with his posts. But I'll never be fooled.

Exactly right! So ban him right from the start instead of playing silly games where you pretend to be fair but in reality you are allowing the little clique to goad him into breaking the rules.
I care so much because it typifies what has happened to this forum. Much of the content is still fantastic, especially since the non-stop political posts were removed from the equation. But the way it has become a club for those “in” people is a negative.

Thanks for your thoughtful response. I agree with you on the timing of the ban. I would have, by pm, given MDawg a warning, pretty deep into the silly claims, to cease or leave. Most likely he would not cease, and then I'd have nuked him. In general, the character that is MDawg has been generally acceptable on the politeness scale. He has had a few crossing of the lines, but not to an extreme amount.
Not sure if you paid attention to the saga that was Nathan, but I would have banned her a few thousand posts and a few dozen trolling threads sooner than the moderators did.
I am not an AP, so I may not qualify as an 'in' person. But I'm close. I'd like to think of me being included in the 'in' group because my posts are thoughtful, honest, and add to the flow on the forum. I think anyone who tries to be reasonable here gets to be in the 'in' group, too. You included!

My thinking is he would have had no issues here to simply post his adventures. Once he started responding to the doubt, it was all over. Suspensions were all but certain. I would have given him a choice. Post your adventures and don't respond or the thread is a no go. Call it a thread blog. Can someone create a thread and not allow responses?
Like I said...he should have just posted his trips and not worry about who didn't believe him. It's human nature and the nature of forums that his claims here going to be met with good and bad responses.
I can point him in the direction of several gambling forums where he won't get suspended for content.
