Should I bet $3 Hop 7's, and upon a win bet $15 Hop 7's, and not parlay anymore but just keep up the 2nd bet?
There's a 1 in 20.25 chance of hitting two 7's in a row. So if I win $75 after betting $61, I'd be $14 ahead.
If I hit a 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th 7 in a row, I just add $75 to my rail on each win.
When should I double my base bet? When I'm up 60 base bets (+$180), and regress when I'm under that?
When should I triple my base bet? When I'm up another 60 base bets (+$360 at the double bet level), and regress when I'm under that?

I just learned about Hop 7's last night, and I'm thinking of it like winning 2 number Keno.

If I'm at a Max Bet $2000 Table, is betting $1200 Hop 7's ($400 per hop), then parlayed to $6000 Hop 7's ($2000 per hop), then paid off at $30,000 per 7 on the upper bet (plus 1 hop bet back); is that allowed or is there some other limit I'm missing?

just about every craps table I played at (in the world) has a max amount that can be won from the prop bets (center table bets),
that is 3 times the table max at most casinos I have played at. (I am 100% certain not ALL do this)
so at $2k max table one could win max $6k
so for a 15 to 1 payoff that would be $400 max bet and for a 30 to 1 that would be a $200 max bet.
people that have money to burn make these bets often (like at high limit tables)
more people make max bets on the hardway bets (that I have noticed)

unless you have lots of cash
I doubt any table would allow you to make those $$$bets (in Las Vegas for sure no)

and I would also say most tables do not offer a 3 way 7 bet as they already have the great SEVEN bet
with the 16.67% house edge

the casino will love you even more
for making those very HIGH house edge bets

Should I bet $3 Hop 7's,

omg, what makes You happy!

how did you arrive at that value?
the 7 has a 1 in 6 chance to roll
so 2 in a row would be 1 in 6 * 1 in 6 or 1 in 36
yes?
no?
why not?

Oh thanks. I must have confused the 7-11 chance of .2222 and squared that.

yes, that is what I get for that.
36/8=4.5 so 1 in 4.5 * 1 in 4.5 = 1 in 20.25

when one bets for the 7 at craps, it wins only on a 7. sounds good..
I have been to many casino night parties and have seen many times newbies making the SEVEN bet (a one roll bet, btw) and thinking it should also win on an eleven (11)

must get the pass line rules mixed up

the 7/11 'Slurpee bet' is way different that the SEVEN bet
and the SEVEN bet is different from the 3way7 bet

thrilling when the number 7 rolls and someone bet on it!

of course,
the 7 only rolls on a come out roll or it is a 7 out roll.

I don't doubt that most, if not all, tables won't have the "3-way 7" on the layout, but I have not played at a table where I couldn't toss $3 in the middle and ask the stick to "Hop the Reds."

Granted, I very rarely make this bet, so my sample size is very small.

I agree, it never hurts to ask.
the house edge for the SEVEN bet is 1/6
(it should pay 5 to 1 and a $1 bet should win and be down $6 but it pays 'only' 4 to 1 so a win bet is $5 and down so they keep $1/total down of $6 should be)
a $3 SEVEN bet has an expected value of -1/6 * $3 = -3/6 or -50 cents

for the Hop (6,1) there are 2 ways to win out of 36
so true odds should pay 17 to 1 (1 chance in 18)
most tables pay 15 to 1 (watch out for those 15 for 1!, really 14 to 1)
so true payoff for $1 bet = $18 and down
they only pay $16 and down (keeping $2)
house edge = -2/18 = -1/9 = -.1111...

so for 3, $1 bets to cover the '3 ways' the ev = $3 * -1/9 = -3/9 of a dollar (33.3 cents)
lower than the -50 cents ev for SEVEN bet only

still fun when the bet is made and it hits on the come out roll!

I was playing a little WinCraps and betting PL for $6, 1 Come bet for $6, and odds of $6, $8, $10. The machine kicked me down nearly $300 immediately. So I started putting $6 on the 3 Hop 7's ($18 total). After about 4 come-out losers (-$72), I hit 3 come-out winners in a row for 3x $90 = +$270!
Maybe it will work better if I make my odds pay $18 so I have something to bet on the come-out Hop 7's, lol, ouch.
If I was gonna press on a win, I'd add $2 to each hop 7 bet. Payouts would go up by $30 on each successive win.

I ran out of bankroll. I had 7 wins and 147 losses on the Hop 1-6 (-$140); 9 wins and 145 losses on the hop 2-5 (-$136); and 12 wins and 142 losses on the Hop 3-4 (+$224) for a total loss of $52. I still could have been positive with one more 7. EV says I should have lost $103 on each of those hops, or -$309.

But all my other $6 PL/Come $18 odds payout bets took me down well over $700. PSO not bet for a win.

Since WinCraps errors out while I'm trying to minimize the window when I'm reading my betting results, I get to go back to my game before I lost that session when I reopen WinCraps. So I either wasted my time or won back my bankroll a bit. No word if I'll roll the same numbers again.

So if I win 5 7's in a row starting with Hop the 7's for $18:, and adding $6 each time, the payouts would be:
$90, $120, $150, $180, $210 which cumulatively would be $90, $210, $360, $540, $750.

Trying a new Hop 7's progression. Bet $3 x 3 on the Come-out., if I win, collect $45 +$3 bet back then double my bet to $6 x 3. Keep doubling. Waiting 40+ rolls for my first hit in most cases though, so I'd be down at least $9 x 40 = $360. But if I hit 3 in a row I'll get back $315 - $36 on next bet (doubling down with another $36 from getting my bet back) = $279 in the rail waiting for a 4th win, (or 8th win).

Bets Win Cum Win
$9 $45 $45
$18 $90 $135
$36 $180 $315
$72 $360 $675
$150 $750 $1425
$300 $1500 $2925
$600 $3000 $5925
$1200 $6000 $11,925

I'm just gonna stick to a $1, $2, $3, $4, $5 and down for $205 (or keep $5 up for continued $65 wins) on the Hop the 7's on my come-outs only, since I actually try to roll 7's.
I can do multiples. I'd make the total of the first 3 Hop bets equal to half of a passline bet I was using at the time, which could fluctuate wildly on an upswing progression.

Bah! I'll go with $1, $2, $3, $6, $12, double on up. Multiples on this.
