there appears to be a discrepancy on two posts....

the amount

Egalite Bets — Eight Decks
Tie Pays Permutations Probability Return
7 45 101,717,538,899,968 0.020350 -0.063899
6 45 96,170,001,308,416 0.019240 -0.114952

from

HOWEVER: from.... appendix 1:

the table which shows the permeutations for all 4 5 or 6 card combinations ..... (eight decks)

tie 6 (4c) 44,487,089,110,464 (5c) 22,532,336,357,376 and (6c) 11,932,746,197,248

which totals... 78,952,180,665,088

for tie 7:

(4c) 44,838,810,157,056 (5c) 22,661,358,108,672(6c) 11,556,012,525,568

which totals 79,056,180,791,296

These are a huge amount less than expected permeations of the 6 and 7 ties.....

is there a reason why this might be the case????

NB scanning the appendix figures it shows the permeutations of 4 card tie 6 and 8 are the same number, as is the numbers for tie 4card 7 and 9.... coinicidence???

many thanks

The number for 5c, 22,661,358,108,672, should be doubled, since there are 2 cases this can happen - 1) 2 player cards, 3 banker cards, and 2) 3 player cards, 2 banker cards.
