Warning issued for making a controversial statement.

As a reminder to everyone, discussion of Covid should be limited to it's affects on the gaming business and/or your own play. Any discussion should be statements of fact and not finger pointing and conspiracy theories. If you wish to go beyond that, please take it to DT.

OD was addressing the post about hopefully casinos aren't affected in two weeks.

The profanity"d" word I assumed was because OD called Covid a "damned" surge.

I know some political comments refer to the "D" word for Democrats but I don't think OD meant "D" word as in Democrat.

Being from across the pond it's not even his politics.

You have me wondering now.
I'd accepted the rebuke for the statement "2 weeks won't see many policies or minds changed. Why would anything improve?"
Which was as uncontroversial as I could have made it.
There was nothing in my post about the d word meaning Democrat. That was never in my mind at all. I was literally just saying that I saw no problem in the word 'Damned' which I referred to as the 'd' word.

Has wizard misinterpreted? I'll ask him.

I'm thinking Wizard thought D word was for Democrats because he referenced conspiracy theories and finger pointing in his rebuke.

I've had clarification. Wizard was not interpreting the D as meaning Democrat. His warning was for the statement "2 weeks won't see many policies or minds changed. Why would anything improve?"

As Wizard says, he holds moderators to a higher standard, so I accept his rebuke.

For the life of me, I still can't figure out how I never got it. It's not like I was going around licking door nobs, but I certainly wasn't being all that cautious. I few multiple times, I went to a Superbowl party, I went to group dinners, I hung out with friends who had been traveling, I didn't run around sanitizing frequently, I was around people who probably had it at the time. I was fairly sloppy with mask-wearing

As an investor, MDawggy Dawg, I think you in particular will appreciate the above-linked article---if I may be so bold to say so.

Yes quite correct - over all the market did overreact, as it often does, and then eventually went to new all time highs.

As far as casinos and income, I understand that Venetian made more money than Wynn last quarter. Perhaps their policy of lowering room rates and bringing in a lower end crowd helped their bottom line, as much as it might have bothered Venetian's previous higher end customers.

Hmmm, I take Losartan.

I stood overnight with a group of four and two days later everyone in the room discovered they had Covid EXCEPT ME!

I quarantined for two weeks, then got an antibody test and was negative so I am not guessing here.

Perhaps I was just lucky.

And then also last Fall 2020, was on the casino floor at table games, public tables, almost daily for a couple months.

One might call that an...oh NVM.

FYI, I dont only play slots as you seem to think. At one point during my career, I had played at some kind of table game with some type of an advantage every day except for a few holidays for a solid 2 years.
I play anything and everything that has a good enough advantage.

It's hard to really say how much time I spent in the casino up until the time I got the vax, nowadays, I spend the least amount of time in casinos as I can unless something really juicy comes up that gets excited and really motivates me.

I really dont think the time I spent in the casinos would have been the most likely place for me to have gotten covid. I traveled to Columbia and a few different states.

I have no clue what you just said. At this time I take zero medication for anything, and I haven't in years, except for the occasional prescription like antibiotics. I think my doctor told me I should be taking vitamin D daily, but I dont.

Not really, I went mostly because my brother who lived there for many years talked me into it. He went on and on about how great it was, how beautiful the girls were, and how great the culture was. I really didn't see any of that. I have very little interest in going back.

I spent very little time in the casinos while there, I was planning on doing more scouting, unfortunately at some point, and to put it mildly, my brother and I were not getting along very well, I needed him for translating, etc.

There was some stuff worth about $25 an hour, I guess that would be a good wage if you lived there.

I got some dental work done while there, I did meet up with another AP who just happened to be there, and I did a little bit of touristy stuff.

I had a buddy in college whose family grew and packed coffee in Colombia.

Zeke loved to smoke pot and found the stuff available in the USA inferior, so he had his brother hook him up.

It was cool to watch him use a can opener to open a sealed container labeled as Colombian coffee, only to find it was filled with top shelf Colombian cannabis instead.
