Hi all. I don't know how no one's posted here before, but I'll kick it off. I was in Bay St. Louis from Feb 14-22 and did some gambling while I was there. Played craps, Mississippi Stud, and 3CP at the Hollywood in BSL, and the wife played slots. All I can say is STAY AWAY FROM MISSISSIPPI STUD!!! That game is just brutal, slowly bleeding you dry chasing crap. Lost about $300 in an hour playing $5 ante. Won back $120 at 3CP (up overall playing that game) and won $5 at craps. Wife listened to my advice with the slots and banked her winnings and kept playing with the initial bankroll after doubling up. Ended up breaking even for 3-4 hours of slot play, which I thought was pretty nice. Also drove over to Biloxi one afternoon to play UTH at Beau Rivage. That's a pretty nice place, but lots of guys kept pulling $100's out cause the cards weren't very kind that day. Lost $105 playing $10 ante for about 2 hours. Not in Mississippi, but we did an overnight in New Orleans and played at Harrah's too. We lost $120 on slots there (her $100 me $20), but the machines seemed pretty tight. Overall down $300 for the trip, but had a fun time. 40 min drive to nearest UTH game isn't so fun, but I love playing it now that I've tried it. We'll be going back next year, so I think I'm gonna stick with 3CP and dice at Hollywood from now on and not go anywhere near Miss. Stud.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I follow Wizard Strategy for all the games I play.

They've recently added these non-Vegas sections, so they are newish.

Mississippi Stud is definitely rough when the cards don't go your way. It's the highest variance of all the table games. I'm sure I would be frustrated with that game too unless I somehow knew a quad was coming my way. ;)

Despite your results, glad you had a good time!

Thanks. Just for everyone's information, I wanted to mention that ALL the BJ games at Hollywood hit soft 17 and all single deck games pay 6-5. I don't think any BJ game offers surrender either. Not the most player friendly rules at this casino.
