Churchill Downs explores possible sale of del Lago Resort and Casino

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Churchill Downs Incorporated is exploring a possible sale of del Lago Resort and Casino as part of a broader review of its gaming properties.
In a filing Wednesday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said it completed a comprehensive review of its operations and long-term capital allocation priorities.
Churchill Downs is now considering options to sell nine wholly owned regional gaming properties, including del Lago in Seneca County.
The company stressed that the review does not guarantee del Lago will be sold or that any potential deal will be completed.
Churchill Downs has not established a timetable for the process and said it does not plan to provide further updates unless a disclosure becomes appropriate or is required by law.
The other properties under review are Calder Casino in Florida; Terre Haute Casino Resort in Indiana; Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Iowa; Oxford Casino Hotel in Maine; Ocean Downs Casino and Racetrack in Maryland; Harlow’s Casino Resort and Spa and Riverwalk Casino Hotel in Mississippi; and Presque Isle Downs and Casino in Pennsylvania.
Churchill Downs is expected to hold a Q2 Earnings Call Thursday morning. News 8 has reached out to del Lago Resort & Casino.

There has been an influx of newer slot machines this year into that location. I couldn't tell you about the traffic. I go at the wrong times. Maybe the IRS will buy all the casinos and give them to a failed casino owner.
