I don’t think I’ll be making it for about a month. The pictures I’ve seen of the inside seem quite nice. I’ve heard some negatives about the restaurant pricing ($54 lobster roll) and the parking ($42 for 24 hours). I’ve also heard there is no employee parking?

Any one else stop through yet? Any thoughts on how this will effect RI or CT?

thought it opened last week?

from 3 casino openings in my area over the years, i learned to stay away for a month till the crowds (and high table limits) died down

In another forum a poster said that when they looked up a mid-week room the best they had was $600.

So I just checked. One night, Wednesday July 17th-18th; $608.00

But there is a page for Red Card members too, but no idea what the costs are.

Edited to add; apparently there isn't a resort fee but there is about $70 in state and city taxes.

We were there the first weekend in September as part of a sports trip from the UK to Boston. Frankly, I thought it was garbage. Lovely casino entrance and a reasonably expansive floor space, but table games frankly more or less unplayable:

Arrived on a Saturday evening, so accept that it’s the busiest time. All tables absolutely overwhelmed with people standing round them watching. Managed to get a seat at one of the better odds BJ tables (3/2, stand on soft 17). Table minimum is 50 dollars, with a couple of side bets set at 5 dollars - to a person, everyone is playing table minimum. I reckon I endured about 40 minutes at the table, during which time I must have been dealt a maximum of 12 hands. Slow, slow, slow, slow. Slow dealing. Slow paying out. Slow working out the side bet winnings. Slow because of the constant turnover of people who clearly need some lower minimum tables to play properly at and otherwise just go in and out of tables after two or three hands because they can’t afford to play any longer. Did I mention it was Sllllllooooooowwwwwww? In the 40 minutes, I saw a grand total of one waitress, who took my order but then we never saw her or any other again.

Anyway, went for a couple of beers and a bite to eat, food was meh and overpriced. Thought I’d try craps. Again, awful. Slow, hopeless dealers. High minimums meaning people constantly turning over. Massive crowding round table of non players. Absolutely zero waitresses.

If this casino was in Vegas or London it wouldn’t last five minutes as a gaming venue (though the bars and other stuff make it a bit of a destination). As it is I suspect they don’t really care as the place was rammed with non serious gamblers so no doubt their spend per head is doing ok for them. Just please don’t go expecting a decent game.
