Ive never seen a casino actually post rules regarding abandoned credits in machines. I know they like to claim any money left in a slot belongs to them but physically posting that?

But in nys at least one casino has and it appears to be a state wide rule

For Whom the bus tolls; The bus tolls for thee

This doesn't say it's the property of the casino, it says it's the property of the State of New York.

Correct but it is casino security that enforces the rule. Technically your right. The state is claiming the money
For Whom the bus tolls; The bus tolls for thee

They have a responsibility to return the money to the rightful owners but probably don't. Personally it feels to me like it's a bluff, a false proclamation of the laws. People believe what they see in writing, but it doesn't mean the writing us true.
