So I am in Borgata Monday morning. Only one craps table going. It is full. Me and some others standing nearby watching and patiently waiting. A guy wants to squeeze on. The floorman see it and tells the players to slide over. They do like a half step shuffle. The guys squeezes in ( making every player uncomfortably close)
Stick man made a comment that I did not hear.
The floorman heard it and got pissed. He then publicly starts threatening to send the worker home.
The Stickman handled it we'll and let the threats slide off his back.

I then see the Floorman on the phone. From what I heard it sounded like he was reporting the dealer.

My opinion was regardless of what the dealer said it should not have been publicly addressed.

Two Atlantic City must experience restaurants

Chef Vola ( if you are a Boardwalk Empie fan, this season Nucky and Joe Kennedy ate in what was supposed to be Chef Vola. He even referenced Chef Vola being in the kitchen)

Docks Oyster House

Both have been there forever. Vola about 85 years, Docks around 100.

Agree. Most supervisors are pretty good and friendly at Borg. Only a few of them are rotten to the core.

In additon to the small and cozy Chef Vola restaurant, I like to drive to:

1) The Crab Trap Restaurant on the Broadway, Somers Point, NJ 08244

2) The Cape May Lobster House
906 Schellengers Landing Rd
Cape May, NJ 08204

3) The Oyster Creek Seafood Restaurant
41 Oyster Creek Rd, Leeds Point, NJ 08220
(The NJ Devil Film was shot around that neck of the woods)

I enjoyed Angelo's Fairmont Tavern several times, but it's been a few years. Is it still there? Is it worth going anymore?

Borgata serves an amazing pot roast with perfectly carmelized meat and vegetables. It was in their restaurant behind the casino on the main floor.

At Wolfgang Puck's. It's part of the prix fixe menu that they serve from time to time, as beef short rib. And it is fantastic!

Since we are on restaurants now:

Little Saigon...amazing asian food. It's a little hole in the wall and they only take cash. Corner of Iowa and Arctic behind the Trop. It's near the police station and all the cops go there. Always a mark of good local food.

Tonys Baltimore Grill: great sausage pizza. But maybe get carry-out the place is like a time capsule from 1977, and smells like my grandmas basement. But the pizza is worth it.

Off the beaten path a little is the Back Bay Ale house. Simple bar food. But they have a second story deck that faces the marina casinos and the windfarm. It's very pleasant on a nice day to sit out there and have an adult beverage. Right near the AC aquarium.

so I was in A local diner in central New Jersey this morning.
The couple seated near me is approached by another couple apparently a friend or neighbor.
They begin talking and I hear the conversation. It goes something like this:

What are you doing tonight?
---- We are going to AC
Wow! We are going to Parx with Dotty and Vic you should come.
----- we never went to a Pennsylvania casino, we usually just hit Harrahs
You are crazy. You are a blackjack player. They are ripping you off there. In PA they stand on soft 17 and they have surrender. Once you go once you will never go back to AC. Plus PA is not allowed to sneak in any 6 to 5 BJ payoffs.
------- alright we can give it a try. Do you mind if my sister and her husband join us. He loves blackjack.

That is a true story. Four less AC players

Are you sure? What happens when they get to Parx on a saturday night and realize that it's a poorly designed craphole in a soulless neighborhood? What happens when they realize that they could have played $10/hand in AC but have to play $25 on a saturday night at Parx? What happens when they realize that they paid more in tolls to get to Parx than they saved from the rule differences?

4 less AC players? AC casinos have lost more than just a fistful of players. They lost 1,575 players who placed themselves on the Exclusion List. Of 1,575 self-excluded-players, I bumped into 1 of them in a PA casino. "Doctor Ah-Med" said that he switched to PA casinos because he got sick and tired of losing in Taj. He loves the double deck games in a PA casino.

Lol. I can think of no better advertisement for AC than having to play at Parx. That place is a shithole. Looks like these 4 will be back in AC next weekend.

"The Borgata stands by its staff and the way this was handled."
Read more at http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/the-insider/That-bottle-of-wine-is-not-3750-its-3750.html#idMgEBuq14YmREzu.99

Double standard?

Why is it OK for Borgata to mislead & trick the player (Joe Lentini) to "lose" extra money for the wine?
The Borgata staff said "thirty seven fifty", NOT "three thousand seven hundred fifty" to mislead Joe. Any player will fall for the trick to buy that "reasonable" wine.

On the other hand, why is it NOT OK for Phil Ivey to mislead & trick Borgata to lose money in the game of baccarat?
Pil Ivey used ""feng shui" to mislead Borgata. Phil did not explain nor warn Borgata about "sorting." Borgata OKs its staff to mislead Joe, but NOT OKs Phil to do the same. Double standard, right?

To be fair to all parties, Joe should get his refund of 2 grands if Phil is going to return his winnings to Borgata. What say you guys?

While the story made for great headlines for a media and a public that takes anything at face value, there always is 2 sides to a story.

Borgata had a response, yet who has bothered to read it and did any of the media outlets across the country bother to follow up? Of course not, they moved on the next Jon Gosselin story or whatever else a stupid public cared about.

And part 2 is what kind of jerk takes 10 people on a business dinner at a restaurant that will cost $75 to $100 a person and buys a bottle of wine for under $40? Sounds like a company run by idiots who deserve to go out of business for not knowing the business environment.

I can't agree with that at all. We have $40 or so meals all the time with glasses of wine under $10 or splits of Asti for $9.50 like last month at Circus Circus Steakhouse.
The number of people who will willingly pay $50 for a steak after voluntarily walking into a casino steakhouse is infinite. The number of those who will voluntarily pay four THOUSAND dollars for a bottle of wine is negligible.
They would have had to drag me out of there in handcuffs; and no jury would convict.

What are you talking about? The guy was clearly trying to pull a scam here. He asked for their best bottle of wine, and the waitress confirmed the price (by showing the receipt) before opening the bottle.

CZR defaults today, CZR stock up today?

reminds me of this:

2009: Traders keep buying old GM stock, despite warnings

"Whether it's a matter of ignorance or greed, people are still buying General Motors stock, even though the company and the government have warned that the shares will someday be worthless"

"So even though the new GM has said it won't offer shares to the public until next year, there are those who still believe they are buying into the new company."

And that's because 67% of Americans have no savings to speak of, never would think of ordering a $3750 bottle of wine and have never been on a business dinner. And these are facts that are relevant to the discussion here. Why not ask 1000 African Americans if Michael Brown was a good guy and was shot unarmed by a white man for no reason and anyone who says otherwise is a liar. I'm guessing you would get 99% who agree.

Ask 1000 Republicans if Obama is the worst POTUS ever and 80% or more will say yes.

A poll of people who have no clue about a subject is not the end word on what happened.

God bless America. We all entitle to our opinions; thus, that is why we agree to disagree. You think Joe is a scammer while 67% of 1,346 guys don't agree with you. Most guys think that server is at fault, not Joe Lentini.

That poll is probably from the initial story, not the updated version including info about surveillance footage about what really happened.

We all get to live with the fact of life, regardless of the poll. Joe was wronged by Borgata staff per 67% of the readers. Are guys going to riot in Borgata? No, not likely.

You just mentioned about Mike Brown. Mike was shot by a cop, and the cop was not indicted by jurists. CNN reports right now that no indictment for Officer Wilson. Are guys going to riot in Mike's hometown? Yes, most likely, just like the case of Rodney King. That's all the fact of life... regardless if the stuff are fair or unfair. God bless America. We're still the best nation on Planet Earth.
I'm OK with Corps which pick and choose clienteles. Both insurance companies and casinos have the right to pick and choose customers. They may keep profitable ones and kicked out the rest. But, I'm not OK with a casino supervisor who says counting cards... is like stealing food from a buffet (a foodlifting offense), or video-taping a movie in a cinema (a piracy offense).

Nah. Republicans are old. Carter will get more than 20%.

You missed this months elections. With 300 Republicans in Congress for the first time since 1928 the corrupt, racist, clueless policies of this clown make him the BEST president ever for Republicans.

What are you talking about? The guy was clearly trying to pull a scam here. He asked for their best bottle of wine, and the waitress confirmed the price (by showing the receipt) before opening the bottle.

Nowhere have I seen a hint that anybody asked for the "best bottle". These were people ordering $3 cokes and $6 Corona's.

$6 caronas? At Bobby Flay's? You're not helping your case...

The buffet really needed a redesign.

AC Caesars gives away a Total Rewards Visa Card like a piece of candy.

A customer service rep at the counter asked my friend if he wanted a Visa Card. He said yes, and he confirmed his last 4 digits of SS# right at the counter. That's it; no application was filed. It's so easy. Within a week, he received the Card in the mail. The rep also gave him an automatic upgrade to Platinum Tier Status. He also got an offer of a free room by just accepting a Visa Card. He was instructed to call 1-888-784-7946 X16946 to reserve a free room. Plus my friend can earn Reward Credits as he goes shopping with the Card.

Before I'm going to get one too, I like to get some feedbacks. It seems it's a good deal to get that card, i.e., nice perks for getting and using the Card, right guys? What's the catch, if any, guys? Do you guys have complaints against Comenity Bank, the issuer of the visa card?

No issues at all. It is a higher rate than most of my cards, but I pay it off each month so that is not a factor. You get 5% return on purchases at any CZR property so it is good to pay for things at the hotel if they are not comped. I see it as good for a small Gold player who wants the advantages of Platnium in Vegas (Almost worthless in AC) to skip a few lines. But if you carry a balance, there are much better cards and it wont do anything for ADT to increase offers.

The catch is when you get one you support the largest chain of the stingiest casinos. They're like the McDeath to casinos. The world would be a better place with them bankrupt and holding only a property or two with the rest privately owned. But you'll get a few perks out of it. But they come back as rewards credits which are really only 1/2 as valuable as you would think they are because they overprice everything. I'd recommend going with an airline CC.
$1700, 18, 19, 1920, 40, 60,... :/ Thx 'Do it again'. I'll try

I use my Amazon Visa for most purchases, as they are relatively generous on awarding points (which I can only apply toward Amazon purchases), and the points are easy to use / apply toward new purchases at Amazon (one mouseclick).

I seem to do a lot of my non-grocery shopping on Amazon anyway.
