Some Ontario casinos open as province reports COVID-19 outbreak - September 29, 2020
https://www.fr24news.com/a/2020/09/some-ontario-casinos-open-as-province-reports-covid-19-outbreak-2.html

TORONTO – Several Ontario casinos reopened Monday as the province reported an increase in the number of new COVID-19 cases. Great Canadian Gaming Corporation claims to have reopened 11 of its properties, including Casino Woodbine in Toronto and Casino Ajax.
Ontario has allowed casinos to reopen as parts of the province enter the third stage of their pandemic response this summer.

However, the province has banned table games in establishments.

Great Canadian Gaming has said it will have a limit of 50 guests inside its casinos and is focused on reopening safely.

Ontario reported 700 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, the largest daily increase since the start of the pandemic.

I think you are only allowed to be in the casino for up to 2 hours. With only 50 people per casino and a 2 hour limit it hardly seems worth while to try and even get in the door.

Yes Canada is now seeing the 2nd wave of the virus as numbers start to spike. This outbreak is expected to be worse than the 1st outbreak last spring. I would expect the US to start to see a big increase in number of new Covid cases in the next few weeks. Looks like a bleak winter ahead.

Ontario numbers back down to 554 today ...... not bad for a province of 14 million but far from the under 100 a day just 6 or 7 weeks ago
