1) Say you have a standard deck with 52 cards. There is a goal suit which if selected you win $4. You must pay $1 to play the game. Now a joker is introduced - if you select it, it counts as the goal suit. Would you play the game?

2) If you get paid $4,000,000 now and pay $1,000,000, would you still play the game?

When dealt one card with a joker in teh deck, the chance of getting the "goal suit" is now 14/53 or about 26.4%.

If you pay one unit to play the game and the payout when hitting the suit is 4 units, then the player's edge (with a joker in the deck) is about 5.66%

That’s if the payout is 4 FOR 1.
If it’s 4 TO 1, then the player edge is 32.1%!

Either way, yeah, I’d play.
