So for all the townies which hospital do you recommend. For the first time in many years of trips we had need of an ER last December.
Wife woke up Sunday morning last December at the hotel and seems a disc slipped and was compressing a nerve. Not a pleasant feeling.
Ended up going to UMC ER. Not the quickest and started to think as an insured person there may have been better options.

So to the locals which ER would you use in a pinch?

I use St. Rose Dominican hospital on the corner of St. Rose and Eastern. I don't know if it is the best hospital in town, but it is only a mile or two up the road. Hope that helps.

Yeah. If I actually need an ER, I would probably pick the closest one. That would most likely be Summerlin.

I've never had the need for any of them, fortunately. I have heard of long waits at UMC. We had one delivery at Mountain View and one at Summerlin. The experiences were about the same, maybe Summerlin was a little better. Both were orders of magnitude worse than the hospital where our first was born in Baltimore.

Someone who is insured but Not In Plan is very profitable for a hospital so its often best to call your health insurer's 800 number and find out where to go.

It's not. You might be thinking of St. Rose hospital in Henderson.

Thanks for the info I hope to not use.
Funny since the insurance is Aetna but from my wife's Grad School they always want me to go to the campus health office. I live in CT the campus is in Tucson.

But I have told my wife many times if they offer a choice religion is important.
First any "Sinai" hospital
Second "Presbyterian"
Third "Saint anyone"
