It seems that New Year's Eve no longer holds the crown for the highest rates in Vegas; pretty much every hotel on the Strip is charging more for the first day of the 2016 CES (January 6).

Note that some of those prices may require an additional night's stay, albeit at a lower price.

I'm not so sure about that Palazzo price on New Year's Eve, but that's what its website says.

Tech nerds are less inclined to share rooms as compared to NYE guests? CES is more likely to be on the company's dime?

IMO that's all about the company dime. No one HAS to be there for NYE, but thousands HAVE to go there to work. And in most CES cases, the company pays; in the rest, it's a write-off.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I"m not surprised Linq is getting higher room rates than the Flamingo now. It's a far nicer property.

Thanks for checking all of those.

SLS for $278 and Palazzo for $139 at New Year's is quite a deal.

The SLS rate is per night for 2 nights. As for the Palazzo, it is now showing as being sold out, even for 2-night stays.

Here are some non-strip rates:
Golden Nugget: 329/"call"
Hard Rock 369/479
Green Valley 400/240 (but 1/7 and 1/8 are sold out)
