I did try Hubert Keller's place at Mandalay Bay. It was good, but not really good enough for the price. The $100 burger was absolutely not worth it. In general, I give them a 10 for presentation and a 7 for food. Don't get me wrong -- presentation is important -- but for that price I expect the food to be better.
If you're going to spend 3 figures on beef, I'd recommend Craftsteak in MGM Grand. I had the domestic wagyu filet (10 oz filet for $110). Best steak I have ever had, by far. Totally worth it. I was comped at the time but I would totally be willing to pay it myself. I ordered it blue rare -- I'd say that if you like your steak cooked more than rare it might not be worthwhile (once you cook away all the marbling, what's the point? You may as well get the cheaper cut)
For a reasonably priced burger option, I'd recommend Holstein's in the Cosmo. Great burgers, great chicken wings, and I love their spiked milkshakes. Looks like it would be a good place to watch a game too, although I've never done that.

How did I miss this when I was there??? The Drunken Monkey shake sounds like it's right up my alley!

if im gonna spend $100 on a burger, it better be meat from some exotic endangered animal.

It's been a while, but if I recall correctly it includes some foie gras and/or truffles or something. Still not worth it. The burger without the add-ons is a lot less.

i like fudd ruckers. its like $10 for an exotic burger and you can get buffalo, elk, and wild boar if i recall correctly.
Quote: terapinedI tried to eat there last nite. 2 hour wait. With platinum, 45 min wait. Walked over to Paris and ate at Gordon Ramsey Steak. Cheapest steak was 49. I was at Gordons steak place so ordered it. Comes with nothing so ordered 13 asparagus and 13 potatoes to round out a good meal. It was ok but not worth 80 bucks. Used my total rewards to pay for it
I agree 100% that it is overpriced even for Vegas. Seems like Caesars has gone almost all celebrity restaurants, but it is working for them. LeArtists steakhouse at a Paris was better and cheaper but was never full like GR's places are.
None of this stuff is cheap, you pay a 25-50% strip tax if not more.
Had the farm burger with truffle Parmesan fries. My 2 friends each got a milkshake and shared an order of fries. You could almost do 1 order of fries between 3 people if everyone is having a burger also. They couldn't finish either of their $9 milkshakes, but then again they were just wanting some late night ice cream and those things are huge. I hadn't eaten since arriving in Vegas at 4 PM so it was a good solution for all 3 of us. My Burgr and fries clocking in at $30 will prevent it from becoming a staple eatery on my Vegas visits but I might go back every 3rd or 4th Vegas trip.
We ate at Gordon Ramsay steak 2 days later. I'll say it's better than my local Indian casino steak house but below my local $40 supper club steak house. Bread bowl was awesome and quickly devoured. I had a few beers, $7-$8 isn't bad compared to my buddies $6 Pepsi and the table $7 bottles of water. We shared a potato purée side dish and it really was enough for all 3. Friends got the beef wellington and the waygu filet. I got the bone in ribeye. The steak was simply underwhelming. You're paying 50-100% extra for a name attached to the food. But I guess the beef wellington is very good, so if that's your thing go for it. Will never go back for steak.
Quote: BTLWIAte at Burgr in early December. Sunday night at about 10:30 PM. My friends are both diamond so no wait.

Am I the only person who goes to BurGR for lunch (and an early lunch at that - pretty much right after the doors open at 11 AM)?
As for the milkshakes, the problem I have with them is, it's 1/2 milkshake and 1/2 overpriced cup of pudding.
And if you want a God's-own-size fries, ask for a large at Five Guys.
No, don't. My wife and I are big fans of Hell's Kitchen (okay, she more than I) and we were looking forward to the Wellington at the Paris restaurant. We had to send the first ones back for being underdone to the point of goopy pastry, and the second ones weren't much better. Of course, if you know how long Wellingtons take to cook, you'll understand that we were starving by then so we ate what we had in front of us. Several hours and $400 later, we were on our way out the door, vowing never to return. There are a lot of great restaurants in Vegas but that wasn't one of them, at least not that night. I mean, I'd gladly pay $1000 for Ramsay himself to make us a proper Wellington (and join us for dinner and a bottle or two of red), but whoever made ours didn't execute them properly at all.Quote: BTLWIBut I guess the beef wellington is very good, so if that's your thing go for it.
If you're in the Paris already, go eat at Mon Ami Gabi. There's a reason that place has been there for over a decade.

+100. Exactly my experience with Paris GR (bad, noisy, expensive) and MAG (wonderful every time). Specialties, though I haven't had a bad meal; roasted Brussel sprouts, steak, pomme frites, onion soup. Trust the brussels; crisp, creamy, salty, not cabbagy at all. They also make a neat drink using some kind of elderberry liquor.
On a side note, the French steakhouse (I forgot the name) at the front of Paris was very reasonable priced and was pretty damn tasty. The goat cheese app was delicious!
My favorite ribeye to date in LV was from strip steak at the Mandalay Bay. Mind you I would never pay that much for a steak, had they not given me a large food comp as a new player there way back when...
Quote: ahiromuOk, yeah, paying for water at Ramsay Steak is a huge middle finger. They push it on you too.
Never understood this phenomenon of free water, or paying for water.
Waiter "Would you like tap water, or pellegreino georgio micheal armani water bottled from the himalayas by tibetan monks for $5.99?"
djatc "bruh wtf get that ish from the sink, IDGAF its free right"

That would be mon Ami gabi. Can't recommend them highly enough, for what they are.
Quote: lilredroosterAt the Heart Attack Grill on Freemont St. in Vegas you eat free if you weigh more than 350 lbs. They have a scale there and you get weighed if you're trying to get a free meal. Triple Stacked Burgers pictured on their sign look scrumptious. Unfortunately, I don't qualify.
I've seen that on the food channel. Looks like a place I'll have to try at some point.

It would be mildly entertaining to watch a reality show episode where a group of 20-30 half drunk and stoned, morbidly obese folks, all 350 plus, descend on HAG and take true advantage of this promo.
Watch these hefty guys and gals pig out, wolf down food like a tyrannosaurus, demand constant replenishment, and really tear into it.
Have them drink only house tap water, then stiff the wait staff when they're done.
*burp*
What happens in Vegas ...

Free burgers are singles only (but unlimited), iirc. I only bought a single there with fries because I thought I was too sober to get paddled...*blushes*
Real long line.
Everytime I pass by there is a long line. Everytime.
Immediate seating with my platinum status.
Got the backyard burger. The standard with cheese, lettuce and onion. Got fries.
Burger 15. Fries 8, pepsi 4 with tax about 30
Pretty good burger

Especially when my gf felt sick afterward. And our fries were terrible enough that we got them off the bill. But I had the diamond card (tier match) and could cut the line at least! Lol
Was an awesome trip, but haven't posted it for a few reasons.

8 bucks for some fries? No fries are worth 8 bucks, were they fried in 24k gold?

Haven't had them lately, but maybe they're the ones with truffle dust on them? Pretty expensive stuff.
Glad you liked the food. I thought the place was awful back in 2013 and haven't been back (assuming we're talking about the one at Paris LV).
I always felt if you enjoyed the meal, the extra dollars shouldn’t change your opinion assuming you could afford it.
Consider the Ellis Island Steak special. Is it that good as reviews say or is it the cheap price?
Quote: BozTo each his own but these are the standard Vegas Burger prices anymore. I personally prefer Holsteins over GR for burgers.

I'll just say this, these "celebrity chefs" are ripping you off. That burger and all of the extras is worth about $1.97.
Nope.
From order to delivery, 34 min
Thats too long. They're making burgers, not fancy complicated cooking. Just stuff I do at home.
Digestive problems next morning.
Dont think I will be going back
