Some gaming jurisdictions (such as PA and NJ) report the revenue for every single casino in their jurisdiction . There are no secrets. I doubt they report profit margins, non-gaming revenue or asset values, or other information .
---
In Nevada they Gaming Control Board (NGCB) is prohibited by state law from revealing individual casino financial information. So you can't pull up a list of casinos ordered by revenue. However analysts require data, so casinos are grouped into various categories and reported out as a group. For example there is a category called "casinos with rooms with gaming revenue of $72 million or higher". THE NGCB can't reveal the names of the casinos in this group, but I was able to decode their confidential data and figure out the names of the casinos.
---
Of course it is no surprise that Wynn/Encore and Venetian/Palazzo are in this category. In their news releases they announce that both operations earn more than $1/2 billion in gaming revenue. However, the smaller casinos or locals casinos are not obviously in or out of this category. There are some surprises. For example in FY2008 (1 Jul 2007 to 30 Jun 2008) Arizona Charlies Decatur made the category (a small local casino for people who don't live in Vegas), but a high profile casino like Hard Rock did not make the cutoff.
----------
Since the FY2009 numbers are going to come out in a few weeks I put the FY2008 numbers in a Wikipedia Article. There are some suprises as I mentioned earlier.
======================
For instance of the gaming licenses in the entire state of Nevada there are 47 that make more than $72 million in gaming revenue in FY2008. The three smallest of these casinos are all old ones owned by Harrah's.
Imperial Palace (800 slots) and
Harrah’s Casino Resort in Reno (865 slots) and
Harrah’s Casino, Laughlin (920 slots).
These are the only casinos out of the group with less than 1100 slot machines.
----------
My question is do you think someone would be interested in this data (commercially). I thought it would be worth something to someone trying to purchase and evaluate a casino. In some cases I was able to determine revenue within 1% for some casinos. How I did it is very complicated to explain, as it involves cross referencing multiple data bases and writing computer programs to massage certain databases to reverse engineer some results.
----------
Anyway if you know anyone who is willing to pay for this kind of information, let me know. I think someone who wants to purchase a small downtown casino (some were recently sold for $21 million to $32 million) would want to know relative revenue information. I have much more detailed information than just who is in the $72 million per year category.

Very nice work on the articles. Incidentally, NJ does provide their non-gaming revenue, profit margin and debt structure if you poke around the NJCCC website. They keep the best records of any jurisdiction. That would make an interesting article as well, IMO.

Ontario does not provide detailed data for each casino. However, there is an agreement to provide local governments with 5% of slot revenue so you can derive slot revenue for each casino by multiplying the local government contribution (what is published) by 20.

Boymimbo-- I seem to recall that OLG is breaking down at least Windsor/Niagara/Rama and maybe the racinos too in their reporting now. Not by game, mind you, just gross revenue. Check their website.

Edit: Looks like you knew this already.

For the Nevada market, you might direct your question to Betty McNeil gamingjournal@UNLV.edu who is the editor of Gaming Research and Review Journal. More info at gaming.unlv.edu.
