I played the 17/10 Loose Deuces for years in Laughlin. They had both quarter and dollar.
I've never heard of Loose Deuces but separate machines are just that, separate. Same casino, different casinos, you might as well inquire as to odds of your machine hitting a jackpot during a rainstorm.Quote: boogieLoose Duces on separate machines and ... .... ....
someone would have to make a few assumptions about how many hands you played in that 5 minutes and what kind of strategy you used. Absolute lowest you can get a Deuces cycle down to is 3384 hands.Quote: boogieMy wife and I were playing Loose Duces on separate machines and hit 4 Duces within 5 minutes of each other. Either I don't go back that far or I just never heard about that.
Hey DRich, let me ask you a question. I'm going to guess maybe ten years ago, maybe even longer, I took a few days off to go to Vegas. I had a list of things I wanted to do while there, but just by coincidence one of the first things I did when I got there was I went into Orleans. I walked around a little, and noticed a bank of maybe 10 to 20 machines, all seats taken. I looked closer, and saw the attraction, they had some full pay games, including, 17/10 Loose Deuces, I think 25-cents AND 50-cents. I don't remember if it included dollars, I don't think so. Shortly after, I discovered they had ANOTHER bank, same story, located in another part of the casino. Holy smoke. So whatever I had planned to do those few days, I abandoned those plans, and naturally played 17/10 LD for three days. It was crazy. I remember wondering why the casino would suddenly offer these two banks.
My question, and I probably already know your answer, do you remember this event, and, of course, did you play it?
Any other tidbits of info that I forgot would be welcome. Thanks.

If you play long enough, the chance of this happening will approach 100%. If you only play for five minutes, the chance either of you have of hitting four deuces is about 1%, which means the chance of both of you hitting is about 1-in-10,000.
About eight years ago when I was first learning how to earn money from video poker, I was playing Deuces Wild with a buddy. He hit four deuces for $250. He then moved to Loose Deuces and hit four deuces again. And then he did the exact same the thing the next day when we went back. This was playing for less than an hour both days

I do not remember that and no, I didn't play it. I think they used to have 15/9 Loose Deuces which was about 100%
Also, even if I did see 17/10 Loose Deuces again I wouldn't play them for quarters unless there was another good promotion. $22 an hour isn't much motivation for me anymore (1000 hands per hour at 101.7%)
Years ago they put in a $1 bank at Fiesta that had auto hold. I can't remember if it was the 101.7Quote: DRichI do not remember that and no, I didn't play it. I think they used to have 15/9 Loose Deuces which was about 100%

But it was over 101. It was not perfect outo hold, but good enough.

The more I thought of this, the more I remembered. I got to thinking that it seemed like about 12 years ago, not ten. I remembered that there were other good games, including FPDW, and they were definitely quarters and halves. Most everyone, naturally, was playing 17/10. I do not remember how long they lasted, but I do remember now that someone was bragging on the internet how much they were making. That killed it. I was only there on vacation for three days. No quad 2s for me. :-(
So now I'm just sitting here thinking, and I decided to look up the old remarks under comments on vpfree2. Bingo, they go all the way back. February 2007. Here's the line-up.
