Black Jack Side Bet Bust Mathematics

Hi everybody,

i kindly ask for your help regarding Black Jack Side Bet „Bust“ Mathematics.

We have a Black Jack Game 6 decks yousing a One2Six Shuffle Machine.
The Dealer has only one card dealt, and stands on soft 17.
Side Bet of Bust pays 2.5 to 1
On a 5$ Minimum Table , the Maximum Bet on Bust is 10$
The house edge on Bust is in my opinion 1,44%


How much will the house edge drop, if you:

- Allow players to increase the maximum bet on bust to the same amount they bet on their box.

- If you increase the players maximum on bust to the 10x amount of the table minimum.

What do you suggest is the optimal maximum amount on Bust the Casino should allow players to bet.

Why would the house edge on the sidebet change if the sidebet maximum changes?

thanks for your reply.
The house edge wont change.
My thoughts are:

The most of the players are not that good to get a 0,5% house edge during on their black jack bets. Most of them are playing on hollidays etc, with their bad strategies, they playing against like 10-15% house edge.

If I‘m going to increase the Maximum Bet on „Bust“ side bet, i‘m offering them a 1,44% house edge they can bet on without any skills necessary.

So I‘m thinking this present the Casino shouldn‘t offer.
If I define the rule that the player can only bet that amount on the side bet, he also bets on his box, i can profit from the house edge on the box of more then 10% (because they are bad players) and will get my money back from the side bet winnings.

What are your thoughts about that?

Some people play the game for the sidebets especially if they have a chance of winning big, especially 3CP where many don't even play the base game. Thus most tables should have a range of sidebets.
