...advantage to do this?...

I watched the beginning of that video and saw the guy betting pass, don't pass, buy, odds, and place. None of these bets alone give the player an advantage.

And no combination of bets, each of which has no advantage, can give the player an advantage.

No no. I wanted you to see his betting with don't pass and then bets on the point after come out. what do you say for this approach?

I say, if it amuses you, go for it. They are still 2 negative expectation bets. Combining them doesn't make them positive. But it might let you last a little longer at the table. Not an advantage play as structured.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I'd appreciate revisiting this approach. Is it advantage to bet on don't pass followed by placing the current point and collecting profits from when point is made. As I see the come out roll reflects a loss but only with 7 or 11 during come out. Please reply with answer.

Point is 4
$10 dp + $20 odds = $20 profit
$15 4 = $27 profit

If a 7 comes you win $5
If a 4 comes you lose $3

If you can change the numbers on the bets to make both sentences say “win” then you’ve found the play you’re looking for. Please let us all know so we can add some zeros to the end and never have to work again

Otherwise why not just choose one bet and take the full win?

That is the honorable and sensible thing to do but some people just like to 'hedge' anyway and last a bit longer.
it is emotional, not financial so math is irrelevant to it. this chasing a phantom advantage is fun for some.

I join...forum...[is this an] advantage play....

Welcome to the forum. Your idea isn't the best play and there's no advantage. Playing the Dont, on the come out roll you're more likely to lose than win, but if you establish a point then you are favourite. What you're doing is reducing the advantage of having a point by ensuring a small profit rather than taking your chances when favourite. It's similar to taking even money at Blackjack, you ensure a win but in the long run you're better off taking your chances.

At most games it is wrong to hedge your bets unless you're just trying to reach a specific goal and get out.
