The wiz is very fond of bovada. But casinomeister doesn't seem as fond. Bovada has a score of 6.7/10 in casinomeister and is the second lowest of all the accredited casinos. As far as I know, casinomeister is a very trustworthy source of information of online casinos.

So, why bovada wiz? Bovada is the only online casino I've played on so far and I've had no problems with it. But since I didn't play on any other ones I also don't know enough to talk about them. But nonetheless, the difference between "the only endorsed casino" vs "the 2nd worst endorsed casino" is pretty significant. So, is the wiz over evaluating bovada, or the casinomiester under evaluating bovada, or is the truth somewhere in between?

I would address your concerns to the Casino Meister site.

Meanwhile, good luck with your gambling. I trust you've never had any problems with Bovada, have you? This was merely an intellectual inquiry.

I'd be interested to know as well. I just saw Bryan last month but the topic never came up.

Will do. I'm posting here as well because something like this is always 2 sided. Perhaps the wiz is over evaluating bovada and I'd like to make sure that side of the argument doesn't just disappear.

Not at all, Bovada has been almost 100% satisfactory for me. Maybe except when I called them once about something, I could swear the people answering my phone had some kind of an accent (sounded like finnish accent), even though they claim their call center is in canada. The poor English ability reflected by the accent was severe enough that I probably spent 30% more time than I should have to resolve understanding issues. Overall that's pretty insignificant though.

I can not tell you that their call center is located in Canada, only that it was located in Canada and that I've not heard anything about their moving it.

Here are a few negatives, based on the Casinomeister criteria:

- Bovada is new (established & accredited in 2011)
- the RTG software is not highly regarded
- the licensing jurisdiction (Kahnawake) is good but not great
- not publicly traded

- cashouts and reversals are slow
- payout limit is $3000 per week
- no weekend cashouts or manual flushing

- no blog at Casinomeister

I think the rating is artificially low because the casino technically launched recently (in 2011), whereas in fact it's closely associated with the well-established Bodog brand.

I think cashout speeds are less of an issue for US players because we don't have the near-instant options available overseas, but certainly the weekly $3000 withdrawal limit could be a concern. Bodog is listed as unlimited.

I've speculated previously that Bovada may be vulnerable to US government action. I would feel more comfortable playing overseas at a site with publicly traded ownership, but for US players, Bovada is almost certainly one of the best options.

EDIT: cashout speeds are important for everyone, but Casinomeister measures in hours, which doesn't really relate very well to the US situation.

For some reason, after years of patronizing the Wizard's sites, I just very recently started playing on Bovada.

I have been very pleased so far.

Thank you. That is what puts rice on my table. I hope you clicked through my banner so I got proper credit.
