I have proof, a video of me speaking with supposed friend discussing with me on our phones, how she was able to access mine and my mother's personal information of how much I earned and spent on a given day at a casino we frequented without any regard of my privacy or permission to do so...story is my mother and I went to casino in Southern Indiana and overspent our limit by doing getting cash advance through Global and we needed a small loan to help cover until next pay period. I called a friend and explained. She is a regular at the same casino and frequents much more than we do and of course has personal friendship with a host there. She tells my mother, not asks, that she is going to call her host and find out what will happen if we dont cover? Make long story short, she could find out without any names or personal information being shared. However, she tells her host our names and street we live on, and he looks us up and gives her exact amount of points earned that day and how long we were there and apporximately how much we spent? I have had lawyer contact that is a friend of mine and try to work this out with them, the company is out of Vegas, I live in Ky, and the casino is in Southern Indiana, and they supposedly did an extensive in-house investigation and found that their worker did no wrong? How is it okay for an employee to give out my personal data and not be breaking company policy or doing wrong. I am going to go and file a compliant with Indiana Gaming Commision now and pursue that way. I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of such or has any advice. thanks

You'd be surprised what info casinos CAN get from Global Cash Access.
If you use GCA in a casino, then certain casinos can get that "list" and send you mailers in attempts to get your business (read: money).

No advice, but I've heard similar stories. Your friend shouldn't have been involved at all, but that's on you. It probably depends on how much one owes global, but you can't use it until they get the money. If the host thought someone was trying to scam someone and saw evidence, I could accept morally divulging this information, but can't vote on legality because I have no idea. Get legal representation is all I can say.
Other than all this, you might be in over your head too much with the gambling. Stay away until the financial situation improves or severely limit gambling to free play, very low cash allotted to gamble, no checks, no credit, no debit.

I AGREE WITH YOU ONE HUNDRED PERCENT... STAYING AWAY AND GETTING GAMBLING LIMIT AMOUNTS UNDER CONTROL IS PRIORITY...I WAS JUST CURIOUS IF ANYONE HAS HAD THEIR INFO SHARED WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION...IT WAS NOT ANY OF HER BUSINESS WHAT WE DID THAT DAY...HER ANSWER FOR SMALL SHORT TERM LOAN WAS YES OR NO...NOT INVESTIGATE AND SHOW HOW SHE HAS POWER TO GET INFO...THAT HOW IT FELT...THEY ARE ALMOST PAID OFF NOW AND WILL BE SOON AND WE LEARNED A LESSON, AND THAT WAS ANOTHER THING SHE SAID, WE NEEDED TO LEARN A LESSON...BUT WHAT IS THE LAW FOR PRIVACY AT A CASINO...FROM WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IT IS AGAINST AND PEOPLE CAN GET VERY UPSET IF THEY THINK THEIR SPOUSES OR EMPLOYERS CAN GET PERSONAL DATA OF GAMBLING HABITS AND AMOUNTS ARE SHARED??? WHAT WAS THE STORY AND HOW DID IT TURN OUT IF YOU HEARD OF BEFORE TOO...THANKS FOR INPUT....

The bottom line is your info is shared, whether you know it or not, or like it or not.

Casinos share info: if you take out markers or have a credit line or cash checks it all goes into a master bank of casino info.

You photo has been shared as well as your address and phone number.

And if a host or key employee leaves your casino and goes to the competition even more of your top private info goes around.

Now, with that said -- the casino should protect your identity outside of the "casino community." That means if another player asks about you they should get NO informaion about you. A casino worker should not even acknowledge that you play there or are on their property.

I often play at casinos where patrons are paged. While I would not object if a family member paged me because of an emergency I could understand how a player could complain that their name is broadcast over the PA system for others to hear.

By the way, when you check into some casinos you can ask them to make your visit "private" so that you don't show up on the telephone/room call register and no one can call you or see that you have a room there. Remember that the next time you're in Vegas with someone other than your wife.

Just as a side bar, if I am paged as Charles by Josie or anyone, I immediately respond. If I am paged as Buzz, I will respond eventually.

I Don't remember tbell. There really isn't such a thing as privacy in our world, but having it violated can cost you tons of money in the real world, but it is the way it is. So called privacy policies are usually lack of privacy policies. More like talk behind your back policies and sell you out policies from what I gather. Sorry to hear it, but if an attorney won't listen, there probably isn't a case.

I hate the damn cell phones. But after my heart attack, Josie insisted I get one. Damn, she was right again for the wrong reason.
She had to call me when she was having her heart attack while walking the dog.
