In Vegas Vacation, Clark, having lost all his own money in blackjack, takes the last of Eddie's, and they blow it at a casino built around children's games, namely:
-Pick-a-number
-Coin toss
-War
-Rock-scissors-paper
-Guess which hand?
War is obviously real, including the detail of having to bet again to go to war, so I was wondering whether any of these others were real, and if so, how they could be run? In particular, pick-a-number and rock-scissors-paper seem impossible to police; guess-the-hand, rock-scissors-paper, and pick-a-number seem too vulnerable to dealer tells; and I can't see where the edge could come from on a coin toss, rock-scissors-paper, or guess-the-hand, unless there were a commission.

Playtech casinos have a rock-paper-scissors game. In fact, I was the one who advised on the payouts and odds for them. It goes without saying that it was one of my easier assignments.
Link to my analysis.
p.s. When playing in real life, always pick paper the first time.

for rock, paper, scissors live.
the players would have to use betting circles.
the dealers would then have to draw cards from a deck with different symbols on them.

i realize that choosing paper is advised becasue many average opponents choose rock, mistakenly thinking it is "better".
if enough people hear about this, i may have to start choosing scissors as my opening.
if you look up "roshambo" on wikipedia, there is an interesting history and analysis of the game. it is an ancient format. (200BCE)
there are several aspects to the strategies. there is also a "roshambot" that visually analyzes its opponents hand in a micro second,
and chooses a winning selection.

Rock paper scissors was a live casino game.I saw it in Biloxi pre Katrina I think at Casino magic or maybe Isle of capri.
I don`t remember the details but I think there were different colored cards representing the rock, paper, scissors. It was called a different name, which Ive also forgot.
I do remember the game was crushed by holecarders and then shortly there after it was removed.

Didn't Stephen Fry say the optimal play now was scissors, since so many people expect rock and pick paper?
So 1.9:1, which is essentially a commission. But no live game, not really, for the other reasons.
And a Star Trek themed casino without dabo would be like a Star Trek themed bar without something called "Romulan ale."

Which came first, Vegas Vacation or Casino War?
I'm guessing the movie. Could that mean that the game was based off the movie?

Fine. Take a roulette wheel, add some Trek symbols like, I don't know, Starfleet emblems, Ferengi ears, Klingon weapons, etc, pay 30 for 1 and call it Dabo.
I'd rather play Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock at fair odds :P

Not sure, maybe the Klondike?
The keno scene at the end was shot at MGM Grand.
Most of the casino scenes in the movie were shot at Mirage.

It was indeed the Klondike.
