Thanks for the new word! I don't think I will ever forget that a plack is a small copper coin used in Scotland in the 1400s and 1500s.

What do the Wordle calculators advise doing if the first turn has two greens and there many possible words that work. Play something that does work or a probing turn? It seems like I'm wasting 40% of my turn if I go with something that's possible.

It depends what your goal is. If it is to solve within 6 tries, and to you two tries or six tries are the same, then you would not reuse the known correct letters.

My goal is to try and solve in two tries whenever possible, so if on the first try I get a green I always repeat it in its correct spot.

This was a very tough one.

⬜🟩🟨⬜⬜ BOSUM -- This turn took a lot of time. The S had to be in the 3rd or 5th position. I didn't think they would do a plural, so it took a while to think of anything that had an S in the middle. I was really hoping "bosum" would be right, because who doesn't love a nice bosum?
⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 FOCUS -- I would have laid good odds this one would be right.
⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 HOCUS -- This means to play a trick/cheat.
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 LOCUS -- Boo! I haven't heard this word since my high school geometry teacher (Mr. Leonard) defined what a circle is.

Thank you, both of you. My goal is to minimize the house edge in any casino game.

In the past, I went for the eagle in this situation, as on April 5, but next time will play it conservatively with a probing word.

Demon, beast, devil. I wouldn�t think it would be satan. I used Mitch the other day and it worked. Didn�t know Mitch as anything but a name. The devil is in the details. Maybe it will be HELLo.
