Wordle will accept lots of words as guesses that are not possible solutions. Such as RAINS. Will take as guess. Will never be a solution. It was a situation like that.

I made the same guessing error as you the first time but:

thinking about it after, DEALT is a bad guess as if it’s wrong you have no idea if the answer is LEANT or LEAPT. I was lucky and guessed right.

Guessing either LEANT or LEAPT before DEALT is better because if it’s wrong, you will know for sure the right answer and won’t have to guess twice.

I have always put my solution in spoiler so this isn't an issue for me. At first I didn't know how to use spoilers,but a few have helped me. And I don't have the wordle app,so don't use the color code diagram

I don't think I have the app either, but does a statistics page appear when you finish a game?

If so, you can click on "Share," and your color code diagram for today will be copied to your clipboard. From there you can copy your color code diagram to your post and type in your guesses for each line.

Yes a statistics page appears after my game. I just close it and screenshot my game to upload to WOV. I never click share. Just easier to download it I just figured it was an iPhone thing or an app feature

After STARE, I was left with S__RE. I figured the third letter was a vowel, probably O or I. If O, the second letter could be W, P, H, C, or N; if I, the second letter could be P or H.

With all these possibilities, I forwent the chance at a deuce and played the probing word PINCH, which showed the missing letters to be P and I.

I see that ChesterDog, in precisely the same situation after STARE, used the probing word CHIMP.
