When the user enters a puzzle number, and then clicks the red SUBMIT button, wouldn't it be advisable at that time for the system to clear out any prior guesses and feedback scores still on the screen?
I find myself doing this myself, which seems awkward. After I play a game, if I want to play again, I enter a new puzzle number and click SUBMIT... but then I find myself also taking the time to clear out the data on the screen from the prior game myself... since it just seems and confusing for those guesses and feedback to be there. The user shouldn't have to do that.
That's my only suggestion at this time. I've played half a dozen games and everything seems to be okay. I've tried to make it crash by entering letters in both uppercase and lowercase, by entering words with more than six letters, with numbers, with apostrophes, etc.
Oh, one more question. How much longer will we see "Solution Changed" in the Comment Section? I assume that comment is for us who have already solved a few of the puzzles from the past day or two. However, if a brand new user sees that comment, they probably won't know what it means.

Good suggestion, thank you. I just added code that when the user enters a game number, all fields except the game number get blanked out.

I put it there to let the user know that clicking the "submit" button accomplished something. Kind of like how in Berlin if the player hits the crosswalk button, something happens, I think a light comes on that says something in German translating to "please wait." It feels good to know the system acknowledged that I'm standing there waiting, even if pressing the button may not reduce my waiting time.
In other news, games 1 to 5 are fresh words, not the same ones when the game was doing daily words. Here is my solution for SP game #1.

Since only 100 words are currently used as a solution to the puzzles, this chart isn't very useful... but I thought I'd put it together anyway. (If the 100 words were known, a chart of those letters from those words would be somewhat useful.)

That shouldn't matter about the 100 words. They were drawn from a pool of thousands of words, which I randomly shuffled and took the first 100 that the average person who know what it meant.
As to Wordle, got a 4 today.
The absolute worst starting word in Wordle will depend upon the criteria used to determine what is considered "worst," just like there is different criteria to determine what is the "best" starting Wordle word.Quote: MoscaI wonder what the worst starting word could be...
For example, if you just want to find a word which, on the average, lowers the number of possibilities left, ROATE ranks right up there near the top. (I haven't found a better word.) ROATE, on average, will leave just 60.1 words remaining after it is played. (From the staring number of 2,308 possible words.)
That number is even better than WordleBot's favorite word, CRANE, which, on average leaves 78.7 words remaining.
However, leaving the fewest words remaining isn't necessarily "best," as you know. (According to WordleBot, "On average, more and smaller groups means faster solving.") One also could take into account and consider the best word is the one that leaves the largest number of "groups" that remain, or the word that leaves the lowest average group size, or the word that leaves the fewest "largest group," or the word that gives the most Bits of Information. (See WordleBot's analysis for some of these terms and comparisons of its chosen word and yours, for any Wordle puzzle.)
That being said, for whatever criteria is used, these words probably rank somewhere near the top of the worst starting Wordle words: IMMIX, JUGUM, KIBBI, KUDZU, OXBOW, PZAZZ, QAJAQ, XYLYL, ZIMBI, ZIZIT, ZOPPO, ZUZIM. (Yes, all of these words are valid Wordle guesses.)
Quote: MoscaI wonder what the worst starting word could be.
I get the worst is FUZZY (which was the name of my beloved childhood teddy bear). This uses the method of awarding two points for a match in position and one point for out of position.

I did not find any mistakes in the three games I played.
If it's possible to lighten that shade of green just a tad, that would be better. It's a little hard to see the black font text against that dark green background. However, if that green were just a shade or two lighter, that would help.
Also, If it's possible to center the individual feedback letters, within those boxes, that would look better in my opinion. (Or reduce the width of the box so it looks centered?)

Thank you for the suggestions. I just implemented them. Hopefully you like the new "lime" shade of green better.
Note to myself: chartreuse is another option. Speaking of which, I always confuse cerulean and chartreuse. Do women have that problem?
Updated turn 2 to the new format.
Here is my first game under the new format, with a score of 3.

If you were to put it to a vote, then I would probably vote Yes. My reason is, it's not often you see the alphabet with the letters A-M on one row and then the letters N-Z below it. These days, for many of us of course, it's much more common to see the alphabet displayed as it looks on a computer keyboard.Quote: WizardDo you think I should arrange the alphabet in keyboard order, like Wordle does?
However, I got used to it after just one game. It won't be problem at all for anyone to immediately find the letter they are looking for, no matter how it's displayed.
