I nominate the following for the funniest shows currently on TV
( ie NOT old reruns, etc... )
1) Tosh.0 on Comedy Central
2) Modern Family ( ABC I think )
3) Comedy Central Roasts on Comedy Central
4) South Park on Comedy Central
Of these, only Modern Family can be considered suitable for
family viewing, imho.
If you are wondering what this has to do with Gambling or Las
Vegas, I guess the answer is NOTHING.

I really like Tosh.0 and South Park. I'd also nominate How I Met Your Mother. I think it's very well written and acted. Also, CSI:Miami is hilarious in an unintentional way.

Tosh.o was better IMO when you sort of suspected he was gay, but weren't sure. Now that he keeps bringing that up and working it in
to his routine, he tends to veer into a type of humor that doesnt really do it for me.

You're right, very funny. I don't know how I forgot that one
when I made the original post.
Alec Baldwin is hilarious. He did some spots for NPR Radio
during the most recent pledge drive using his Jack Donagey
persona, and those bits were one of the funniest things
I've heard, let alone heard on Public Radio !

My favorite comedy these days is "Big Bang Theory". Before that it was "Curb Your Enthusiasm". South Park is always good for a laugh though I didn't get the latest "Coon" episodes. 30 Rock to me is hit or miss. Family Guy was hilarious. Seinfeld to me was probably to best comedy I've watched in a long long time.

It's my guilty pleasure, because it has no redeeming qualities, except that it makes me laugh. I'm also somewhat amazed no one has been paralyzed yet.

Big Bang Theory, Family Guy and South Park are all great, but my guilty pleasure has to be Glee. there are a few genuinely funny moments in an above averagely written show.

Definitely very funny and years before its time. I remember watching it too late at night
when I was in HS. I did preface my original post by saying that my list was for current
programs. It was kindof a groundbreaker that probably led to the Larry Sanders show,
also pretty funny.

I second this! I want them to have another episode where they go to Las Vegas, but this time they need to bring Sheldon along so he can reek havoc in the casino!

I don't think you can get Sheldon into a casino. Too bad Star Trek The Experience is no more, because that's the thing he would go to Vegas for!
If he could be lured into a casino he'd either 1) bring everybody down by accurately quoting the odds, 2) pull a Rain-Man immitation, 3) call out roulette numbers accurately while the ball is spinning. Problem is, it's all been done before, though it's usually an idiot who can call out roulette numbers in advance.

If anyone enjoys Wipeout then you've got to watch (if you haven't) MXC which is an Americanized/English dubbed incarnation of the Japanese game show Takeshi's Castle and the inspiration for Wipout and all of its clones. Vic Romano and Kenny Blankenship, along with Guy LeDouche are unbelieveably funny, even more so because none of what they say is based upon any of the orignal Japanese commentary or dialogue. It is just about the funniest thing I've ever seen on TV and unlike most shows that intend to be funny, I often find myself laughing out loud while watching this show. It is still shown on Spike TV from time to time but I've never seen it on any other network. Babaganoosh!
